Hans was the last male monarch not to be called Christian or Frederik.

Born: 24 December 1461

Child of: Ernest, Elector of Saxony and Elisabeth of Bavaria-Munich

Death: 8 December 1521

Notes: Served as regent to Sweden in her husband's absence, from 1500. During riots in Sweden, she was under siege in the Tre Kronor Castle in Stockholm, from 1501 to 1502, and imprisoned in a convent until 1503.
