Ah, she's wearing rubber bands. I wore these when I had braces. The braces on the top and bottom have little hooks from which you attach the rubber bands. This is a method of adjusting the bite and also to help in "moving" and straightening the teeth. When wearing the rubber bands your bottom and top teeth a literally attached and the rubber bands stretch as you move your mouth. She herself will remove and change the bands. Knowing from experience, this is really uncomfortable and sometimes painful. So kudos to her from even wanting to smile at all! It will all be worth it in the end but the process is less than comfortable!

Sorry for the long explanation. Hope it all made sense.

Im glad Margrethe is included. Only missing Christian, but understable if its his last days with his unit.

From personal experience, I can also say that they are great to tie up really tiny braids in your brother's hair Maybe Josephine can try that out on Vincent if he is inclined to let her do so...
