King Frederik held a public audience this morning, June 16. 81 people were received.

Today, 81 audience seekers appeared before His Majesty the King at a public audience at Christiansborg Palace – a tradition that the Royal House has cherished for generations.

The audience provides an opportunity for people with a special mission to thank the King personally, often in connection with the awarding of a medal, order or appointment.

Here is a selection of today's audience seekers:🏅Birgit Sminge, accounting assistant at JFM P/S, Vejle. Thanked for the Medal of Merit.🏅Dion Pedersen, former service manager at Vattenfall Vindkraft A/S, Skørping. Thanked for the Medal of Merit.🏅Claus Jørn Andersen, former warehouse manager at GPV International A/S, Aars. Thanked for the Medal of Merit.🏅Tina Charlotte Petersen, radiographer at OUH Svendborg, Odense. Wow! 81 public audiences. That is quite the busy morning for the King. Glad to see that he continued with the public audiences after the change of throne. It is a great way to meet with regular people on a one-to-one basis. I think this is just a better way of doing it than having a large gathering and then walking around to people.

This morning, June 17, King Frederik received the Ambassadors from Columbia, Korea, Vietnam and Montenegro at Christiansborg Palace:

What is a French helicopter carrier doing in Copenhagen, some of you may ask. Because in a NATO/EU context the French navy is operating in the Mediterranean, mainly out of the French navy base at Toulon. While more global operations, like to former colonies, operate out of Brest.
Denmark has for a number of years now had an increasing military operation with France, especially the French navy. Danish frigates have operated as a part of a French carrier group. Also, France is increasingly using Danish developed radar and sensory equipment as well as software.
So this visit to cement the Danish-French military cooperation and send a little signal that France and DK are close allies...
Because can you guess what ship might well be send to Greenland to assist Denmark in upholding a military presence there - while at the same time protecting French (and by extension EU) mining interests there?

wasn't this this the same helicopter carrier that was just in Greenland during Macron's visit? France really is sending a strong message that they stand 100% with Denmark and Greenland.

On another, very important note, Frederik looks amazing in his uniform!

King Frederik, on June 30th, held public audiences for 77 individuals. Busy morning!

and some great photos from his second event of the day visiting the helicopter carrier

It was, yes. Such a helicopter carrier also carry a contingent of Marines. Normally and traditionally French Marines are deployed outside Europe, where France has various interests.
Even a relatively small, but well-armed, force deployed in Greenland would make any, shall we say, uninvited landing there extremely hazardous.

At today's presentation, the King gave a short speech, in which His Majesty concluded by wishing all first lieutenants congratulations on their training.
The reception took place in the Port of Copenhagen, where the Royal Danish Ship Dannebrog was moored at buoy 1, before the Royal Couple sails to Aarhus later today.

With more than 20,000 participants what a sport festival!

What a great event! King Frederik looking in top form as usual! He really is so natural when meeting and interacting with people!

He does have a natural way to talk to a variety of people. From young to to old.
I think his kids are also learning how to interact so naturally, as seen in the royal run.
