Great photos! Lovely to see two more events added to day 2 as well. Fron the photos it does appear the weather is not cooperating like it was yesterday. But, he looks very relaxed and happy and the residents and officials have all given him a warm and enthusiastic welcome. The new PM's smile and excitement could not be bigger tbh!!

Today's photos:

A great article on the signal/success of the visit

"The entire Royal House has traditionally been very popular in Greenland, but King Frederik still holds a very special place.
"He is more down-to-earth, and many Greenlanders love that. He has been on a dog sled, participated in the Arctic Circle Race, and he expresses his love for the country," explains Arnakkuluk Jo Kleist, adding:
"The fact that he was part of the Sirius Patrol at the time and has been in northernmost Greenland gives him some 'street cred', and people think; He's so cool - because he's one of us. That's given a lot of points over the years."

Wonderful comments about the King. And all true! He is incredibly loved in Greenland and has actually lived there for extended periods in connection with training for the Sirius Patrol and then the 4 months of the expedition itself.

Very much so. He seems to have connections with many Greenlanders. A cute anecdote while meeting some of the University students.

"When the students subsequently introduced themselves, the king's interest was piqued when Halumi Daorana from Qaanaaq introduced herself. The king knows Halumi's family and began to talk about Halumi's parents and their little daughter, who turned out to be Halumi's older sister.
-Imagine, it's been 25 years, the King said then."

That's fantastic! - I love this part as well - it shows the connection has been there for many years and how the King personally knows the residents, their families, etc.

"
Student Linda Bagger, who taught herself to drive a dog sled when she was 11, was also asked about her dog team.
Then there was talk of the Greenlandic sled dog, which has proven to be one of the oldest dog breeds in the world, and that the students themselves had investigated the dog's genes. The conversations became more lively, and the King did not seem to be in a hurry to move on, so grouse and reindeer hunts also became good topics of conversation.
-But we have also made you a present ourselves, said Pinnaluk Olsen and gave the gift to the King. We might as well reveal that it is a grouse foot."

King Frederik attended the Danish-Chinese Business Forum at Carlsberg Museum & Business Centre in Copenhagen today, May 6:

At an official event at the Carlsberg Museum & Business Centre, His Majesty the King and the Minister for Foreign Affairs participated in the celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Denmark and China. The event focused on the close cooperation between the two countries 🇩🇰🇨🇳 The King was shown around an exhibition curated by the Danish-Chinese Business Forum, which highlights relations between Denmark and China from 1950 to 2025. The celebration was rounded off with a networking reception. The Danish-Chinese Business Forum works to strengthen trade between Denmark and China by promoting dialogue and cooperation among companies, authorities and organizations with an interest in the Chinese market.

Great to see his second event. He has worked previously in strengthening Danish-Chinese business relations.

Yes - great photos from his second event of the day. This is an area that he has worked hard in for years and now, more than ever, it is important to build on those relationships. Frederik has years of experience in these types of engagements.

The Palace shared additional information about tomorrow's event - King Frederik will participate in the traditional buck hunt on Bornholm:

HM the King continues a more than 100-year-old tradition of buck hunting on Bornholm

HM the King will launch the buck hunt on Bornholm on Friday, thus continuing a royal tradition.

For more than 100 years, there has been a tradition of kings and royalty participating in the first buck hunt of the year in Almindingen on Bornholm. The so-called buck premiere is launched every year on May 16th, marking the start of the hunting season.

Christian X participated in buck hunting in Almindingen for the first time in 1913 and later introduced his son Frederik IX to buck hunting on Bornholm.

Frederik IX himself became a frequent visitor to the island when the season was about to start, and the tradition was continued by Prince Henrik. The prince also introduced his son, then Crown Prince Frederik, to the Bornholm buck hunt.

The royal ship Dannebrog has often been the setting for the journey to Bornholm, and Dannebrog has also functioned as a residence in connection with the hunt. When the King arrives on Bornholm on Thursday, it is also aboard Dannebrog.

The buck hunt takes place on Friday in Almindingen.

Today, King Frederik X was at the Bornholm Art Centre at Grønbechs Farm in Hasle to personally hand over a whale skull, which is on loan.

The buck hunt on Bornholm today is already over, and when returning to the Dannebrog afterwards King Frederik told the press that he wasn't successful ;)- "It was cold today, so there were not many animals", he explained:

Today King Frederik X participates in the opening of the Management Conference 2025 and a meeting of the steering committee of the King Frederik Center for Public Management.

From today's event with the King Frederik Center for Public Management - Here is King Frederik's Speech

More photos as well

Looking great! I remember when the Center for Public Management opened in honor of his 50th birthday in 2018 (known then as the Crown Prince Frederik Center for Public Management).

This morning, June 2, King Frederik held a public audience:

Today, 76 people were in audience with His Majesty the King, who holds a public audience at Christiansborg Palace approximately every other Monday.
The Royal House has a long tradition that anyone with a special request can seek to appear before the monarch. At an audience, one can personally thank the King, e.g. for the awarding of a royal order, medal, appointment or the King's participation in a visit.
Here are a number of today's audience seekers:
- Traffic controller at Lokaltog A/S Henning Holm Nielsen from Hørve thanked for the Medal of Merit.
- Former customer service representative at Danica Pension Livsforsikringsaktieselskab Nina Hansen from Herlev thanked for the Medal of Merit.
- Head teacher at Nordenskov School Hanne Ø. Kristensen from Ansager thanked for the Medal of Merit.- Senior physician in the Royal Danish Navy Bo Bech from Klampenborg thanked for the Knight's Cross.
- Social and health assistant at Aalborg University Hospital Jonna Elise Fragtrup from Aalborg thanked for the Medal of Merit.
- Church servant and gravedigger at Resen Church Kristen Christensen Faarkrog from Rønde thanked for the Medal of Merit.

And this afternoon King Frederik inaugurated shore power plants at Oceankaj 4-6, Terminal 2, Nordhavn in Copenhagen:

76 in a public audience, wow.

From the DRF at the inauguration of the terminal

Wow. Busy day for the King. He looks great too btw.

Today, June 6, King Frederik attended the celebration of the 150th birthday of the Himmelbjerg Tower in Himmelbjerget.

What a pity for all attending that the weather was that bad:

** Pic 1 ** Pic 2 ** Pic 3 **

Great article, but it didn't show the tower, that was being celebrated, so here it is:
Himmelbjerget = Heaven-mountain = 173 meters high, without the tower, is located in one of the absolute most scenic areas of DK.

King Frederik also sailed on the paddle-steamer Hjejlen, which is the paddle-steamer in the world with the oldest engine in continual use. The old lady and her engine has soldiered on since 1861.
She is named after a bird, a hjejle in Danish = golden plover.

The area around this hill is indeed hilly and full of lakes and very scenic, as mentioned. The reason is that this is at the boundary of the glaciers during the peak of the last ice-age that ended some 12.000 years ago. These glaciers pushed immense amounts of soil and debris in front of them and deposited it here. The result being that this area is hilly, while the rest of Jutland north of here and under the glaciers is flat, leveled by the glacial bulldozers.
