it seems like everyone is in NY this week! i believe mary and mabel were also in a UN conference today. i wonder if they will all meet there for a chat or dinner after their long day out.... :)

Princess Marie is in New York, Mary is in Denmark and attends at a concert this evening.

Queen Letizia of Spain will join international efforts against hunger and malnutrition by addressing the Second International Conference on Nutrition (ICN2) scheduled to take place from 19- 21 November at FAO's headquarters in Rome. The Queen’s participation at the conference, which is being organized by FAO and the World Health Organization (WHO), was confirmed yesterday during her meeting with FAO Director-General José Graziano da Silva on the sidelines of the United Nations Climate Summit 2014, in New York.
“I really appreciate Spain’s contribution to the fight against hunger and malnutrition, especially in Central America,” FAO’s Director-General said.
"The Queen’s participation at the conference is yet more proof of Spain’s commitment to global efforts for better nutrition and healthier diets that result in better lives for people everywhere,” he added.
Talks between Graziano da Silva and Queen Letizia focused on the importance of improving diets and raising nutrition levels. Both expressed their concern about rapidly rising obesity rates, in children and in adults.

I can not find anything in the agendas of the Casa Real or the Koninklijk Huis, but in yesterday's broadcast of the weekly program Blauw Bloed (Blue Blood) was said that King Felipe VI of Spain and his spouse Doña Letizia will bring a visit to the Netherlands. This will take place in the coming month (October 2014).

A bit of searching learned that later, the King and Doña Letizia will also visit Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (in November).

felipe addresses informally the spanish representation at the UN.

i couldn't help but notice that letizia looks quite absent and serious in the video, slightly unengaged. she also didn't clap after felipe's speech, unlike the rest of the people in the room. is it protocolar that she doesn't, being the queen? it looks to me a bit standoffish but maybe that's the way it is done.
