On September 7, 1960,Naples, Italy. King Constantine, then Crown Prince, and his crew, Zaimis and Eskitzoglou won the gold medal in the Dragon class of sailing. This became King Constantine an Olympian,and a member of the International Olympic Committee, a position he held until his death. His tombstone bears the inscription "Olympian."

Very beautiful photos have been posted on the Facebook groups, and in a spanish blog that I remain very, dedicated to the Greek royal family, some photos have never been seen before.

Princess Sofia throws water at her brother when he arrives at the port. Queen Sofia was also a member of the Olympic team; she was a substitute.

And now two unpublished photos. I have seen that one of this photos has been colored by Andreas Megos, but it was published weeks ago in the Facebook group, the Greek royal family, and in the Spanish blog, where I have found the place where both photos are located.

These photos are unpublished and belong to a museum in Greece, dedicated to the family of Fanny Petralia, a member of the Greek Olympic Committee, whose family played a very important role in Greek history. These two photos are published in the family museum: the first is of King Constantine at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games of Rome, as the Greek flag bearer, alongside the representative of Afghanistan.

The other photo is of the entire family with the crew of the Nereus, which was the name of the boat celebrating the victory.
