Kent Jewels

When was Princess Michael ever granted access to jewels other than those at her disposal (the jewels inherited by her husband).
I could be mistaken but I've never seen the Princess wearing anything from the main Windsor collection.

I couldn't tell you, it may been a Kent piece but come down through family of Queen Mary and her parents or through one of Queen Victoria's daughters that could be Louise. What I heard was it was old and even if not personally the late Queens, most people wouldn't think to replace stones long in Royal posession without telling the family head out of good manners if nothing else.

These rumors against Christine sound like falsehoods. It was Marina who had to sell several of her jewels, having been left without a pension after her husband's death. After Marina's death, her children sold more jewels to pay the inheritance taxes. Even the current Duke of Kent sold more later, the best example being the sapphire set. Considering that EII didn't mind to recovering those jewels, I doubt that she would have made a big deal about what Marina or her children did with the rest of their private jewelry.

I wouldn't take what the media said very seriously (especially when you don't even mention which one it was) they always invented and infuriated themselves using and in the name of the queen, not the queen herself.

Indeed and the same for the Duchess of Kent, Princess Alexandra and the Duchess of Gloucester

They themselves are royals, I don't see what accounts they have to render to a third party, it was the same head of the family (or owner at that time) who distributed everything, what they did with it later is not so important, but the way in which they will handle it.

With the latter, I don't really downplay the importance of the sale of the jewelry by both Marina and her son, it is their family history and they themselves, more than anyone else, are aware of it.
That's where the question of manners comes in, but between siblings. It makes me wonder about Alexandra since she didn't get much, but I doubt she could do anything.
