Love this diamond fringe necklace that just needs a tiara frame in order to be a great tiara for one of the younger princesses. LATE 19TH CENTURY DIAMOND FRINGE NECKLACE
I suspect a jeweler could easily make the large diamonds interchangeable with pearls and maybe other stones as well, similar to P Sofia of Sweden's tiara
I think that it could work much nicer as a tiara than in its current necklace form.

That is a lovely necklace, and one that could work just as well as a tiara.

Certainly the kind of jewellery that Mary or Mathilde should be looking to acquire for the next generation of Danish or Belgian royals to use.

Some other pieces that caught my attention:

Ruby & diamond brooch and ring that I think both Mathilde and Victoria could put to good use: NO RESERVE - RUBY AND DIAMOND BROOCH AND RING

Emerald and diamond bracelet and ring: Mathilde, Victoria or Mary could put these to good use:

Floral spray tiara / brooch for any of Mathilde, Victoria or Mary to acquire:

Late 19th century tiara: For Mary or Mathilde to acquire as they bolster their family collections to provide for the next generation

OR

A hardstone cameo necklace and a pair of earrings in gold with enamel and set with pearls, with interesting history:
According to family tradition originally a gift from Eugène de Beauharnais (1781-1824), the stepson of Napoleon Bonaparte, to Princess Maria Theresia von Thurn und Taxis (1794-1874). One of her ladies in waiting received the parure as a gift from the Princess. Thence by descent to the present owner.

At Uppsala Auktionskammare's auction next week there is a beautiful small diadem for a young royal lady.
A white gold, diamond and cultured saltwater pearl diadem

A pretty substantial pearl and diamond necklace that either of Mathilde or Victoria could put to good use.

There are plenty of elements there for two to be removed and fashioned into earrings to create a demi-parure.

I suspect the design also lends itself for the necklace to be put on a frame to create a circlet or a tiara.

I've been aware of Royal jewel related sales from seeing press or auction notices sometimes since maybe about 2006 - ish. I'm not an expert at all but 'is it just me or' are a lot of tiaras and fine jewellery pieces hitting the market now or in the last 12-18 months?

A good option for Estelle when she turns 18!

My sense is that the further you get from the era of wearing tiaras and jewellery, the more likely it is that families will sell those items. Outside of royal families, few people now have a use for tiaras, and that is why they regularly come up for sale.

Additionally, the auction houses have become better at sourcing a wide variety of fine jewellery for sale. Add to that the much improved websites and our awareness of them has made it easier for us all to see plenty of great pieces of jewellery come up for sale.

Lovely pair. And agree, the Swedes could put them to good use, as could Mathilde.
I think they Antique Diamond and Ruby Earring would have a wonderful addition to the jewel collection of queen Mathilde.
