Thanks BlogReal, that was an enjoyable read! It seems there was a lot to celebrate: the upcoming 90th birthday of the esxcellent Duchess of Montpensier, as well as various other birthdays and wedding anniversaries. And we were treated to some lovely photos too.

Thanks for posting! I miss the old days when PdV ran stories like that every week!

Also lovely little detail about playing Scrabble together and how he enjoys speaking German (his mother's mother tongue) as it brings back childhood memories.

The Count of Paris shared some more photos of the recent photo session and interview with French magazine Point de Vue:

As it is a picture of her grandchildren, it is either prince Gabriel of Liechtenstein or prince Pierre d’Orleans. The one next to Gaston is the other.

Merci! After a quick search I'm 95% sure it's Pierre, and the one next to Gaston (he's so tall already!) it's Gabriel.

You think so? I see her as the very image of her mother Philomena.

But she is indeed a very pretty little girl. All of TRH's kids are beautiful.☺️

The Count and Countess of Paris presided over an evening in support of the restoration of the Notre-Dame de la Consolation Chapel on December 11.
A fundraiser that raised part of the sum needed to restore this little-known Parisian building to its former glory.Built in 1900 on the site of the Bazar de la Charité, it was built at the request of the families of victims of its terrible fire in 1897. The Duchess of Alençon, sister of Empress Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary and wife of Prince Ferdinand of Orléans, had lost her life there. Monseigneur the Count of Paris is thus his great-great-grandnephew.
