Hereditary Prince Alois and Princess Sophie Current Events 2: Aug 2023 -

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
the article for his 57th birthday is word for word the exact same article as the one for his 56th birthday. they quite litterally just changed the number...
the pictures that they added were also the same , that they used for his 55th birthday (except one, but its the first one that shows up when you type his name in pinterest...)
Well spotted!! That is rather embarrassing for the magazine and their internet edition.
"You don't have to make things unnecessarily difficult", they surely thought ;)

also add on, this is the only news media in Liechtenstein. they dont have a radio, TV sender or any other newspapers. This (Vaterland) is quite litterally the only place to get news in Liechtenstein and the prince.so yeah recycling an article is really lazy.

There used to be a second newspaper but publication was stopped a few years ago.
But i think you are right they should not have published the same article again if they had no new Information.

today he awarded some new orders:
he also released a statement concerning the new abortion initiative that was submitted today, it wants to legalise it until 12 weeks.
in it he says that he hasn't changed his opinion since 2011 when they also had a vote on it,the initiative lost to 53%,many attribute the loss due to the hereditary prince threatening to veto it (he hasn't said anything about his veto this time around yet)
two quotes:
'The protection of unborn life represents an important basic ethical value "not only for the princely house, but also for many Liechtensteiners".'
"Nothing has changed about this fundamental attitude." (regarding if he changed his opinion)

Thank you for reporting!

It is a difficult topic! But how does it look in the real world? I thought, Liechtenstein has no big clinic. So, for the intrusions the women have to go to Austria or Switzerland...

legally it currently looks like this:
the woman getting an abortion in Liechtenstein or outside gets 1 till 3 years in prison.
except if the woman is in life threatening danger
some women who still get abortions travel to switzerland or austria, wich is expensive (one of the other points is that it should be covered by insurance).

as per hospitals, there is one landesspital but its underfunded it doesn't even have a maternity ward. it's mostly also about allowing doctors to recommend abortions legally (the third point)
