Maybe she wanted her mother-in-law to shine for the last time. There's certainly a large choice of Luxembourg tiaras, i would have gone for the Grand Duchess Adelaide tiara myself.

Citrine and gold isn't an easy combination but somehow it always looks great on Stephanie.

But yes I agree she looks best with the Adelaide sapphire (or anything sapphire, even the sapphire necklace/tiara looks nice on her).
