To answer my own question, it’s Anders Baasmo Christiansen, reprising the role from Kongens Nei/The King’s Choice.

We’ll see if there’s any other continuity.

I’m generally suspicious of these films about royal families where most of the persons getting portrayed are still alive… It often becomes very gossip-like and sometimes also damaging…

Why "La Borghese"?

In this case in think "La Borghese" does not stand for a female member of the famous family. It is the Italian term for a woman who is a commoner - which young Sonja was when she met Harald.

I believe that in this case HM King Olav made the gesture to reinforce the fact that he publicly accepted Sonja as a suitable wife for his son and heir , also in recognition that her own Father had died many years earlier . IMHO both reasons are not only valid but understandable on the part of a loving, but pragmatic man, who was not only a Father , but also a King .

It apparently is the custom in Norway (unlike Sweden). Mette-Marit Tjessem Høiby walked in with her husband-to-be as her relationship with her father was poor.

I just started watching it.
