Olga Kefalogiannis and Pavlos have met in the past at other events. It's obvious they're closer now because of Nikolaos's marriage to her cousin, Chrysi. Perhaps the most striking thing about the party is Pavlos and Nikolaos's meet to the Karamanlis family.
Greek shipowners, in general, have always been involved in politics. They have sought to finance political parties to govern in favor of their companies and economic interests. For this reason, the people in Greece don't hold them in much regard.
I don't think that if Chrysi were seen more or less at parties and events, the Greeks would appreciate her more. No, I think she's a member of a shipowner family, heavily involved in Greek politics, that has been at odds with the people over business interests, and this isn't going to change that....
Regarding the Royal Family, Queen Anna Maria is the only one who hasn't been subject to the 1994 law. She refused to accept the content of that law. The republic cannot be a political form of an unalterable state for a woman who is the granddaughter, daughter, wife, and sister of Kings...
Regarding her children:
Pavlos said on ANT1 a month ago that he is Pavlos De Grece and that he is not a Prince; it was Mayor Mani who said this.
Later, he accredited himself as Pavlos De Grece at the International Olympic Committee Meeting. I was particularly surprised that he accredited himself as "De Grece" because the International Olympic Committee recognizes royal titles. Furthermore, he posted the accreditation on his Instagram account so everyone could see that he is not Prince Pavlos, he is Pavlos De Grece. His mother was accredited as "HM Queen Anne Marie".
It is not the Vardinogiannis family who does not recognize the Royal Family, it is the royal family, except for Queen Anna Maria, who does not want to be identified by royal titles. By the way, although they reject the titles and existence of the Royal House ( on the official Web in greek version it says, the ancient Royal Family), Filippos and nina seem not to have been alluded to and identify themselves as Prince and Princess in the Arab Emirates.
