An authorised but interesting piece on the Duke of Cornwall and his approach to his Duchy.

Intro
When the Prince of Wales comes knocking, there’s no need to stand on ceremony. Having inherited the Duchy of Cornwall upon his father’s accession, William is leading it with a reforming zeal, a refreshing disregard for formality, and a determination to learn the truth about the lives of its tenants. This is what happened when I spent a day with the unorthodox landlord.

Thanks for a posting this, I've just read it and came along to see if had been posted. It shows just how much work goes on behind the scenes. William is a busy man!

I was surprised to learn that he is visiting every 4-6 weeks

The Prince has had an excellent role model in his father It doesn’t surprise me that much what he does is going on ‘behind the scenes’. Neither men court publicity, unless it serves the cause.

In this case they concluded that the Duchy could use some good publicity, so William agreed to be joined for one day.

A nice little detail is that the prince and his secretary traveled by train to the area.

The article on the Duchy day was excellent - enlightening to the amount William does behind the scenes that goes unrecognised and I feel he receives so much criticism for. It is evident he has a passion for the countryside and wants to help modernise and make it future proof. Farming in the UK has had a terrible number of years. William it is clear wants to see how he can help and prepare them for the future.

Following in his father's footsteps. He too cared about the future and the farms. Might have some different methods but the same objective. I remember the documentary that was done on Charles as Duke of Cornwall and how he teared up when William talked about carrying on his father's work at the end.

I recall watching that programme, it was really interesting, in particular how emotional Charles was when he heard William’s words.

New photos of the Prince of Wales with his children has been released to mark Father's Day.
Happy Father’s Day, Papa (before and after!) We love you! G, C & L 💖

They're great, what I love about them is that it's all so natural and unstaged, you get them for real. Like seeing them on Saturday, you get glimpses of their real personalities. George seems quite a serious little fellow at times bless him - perhaps being the eldest, big brother and all that, and of course he will be learning that one day he will be King just like his grandad. I did chuckle when he stopped Louis waving on the balcony. Charlotte is IMO very confident and has the presence and poise of her mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Louis...Louis is a delight!

Yes, I saw This. But King Charles and Queen Camilla Shared photos with their fathers. So I thought William will also Share a Photo with his father

Exactly they don't have to share everything and it was up to the king to share his cards if he wanted to and not Prince William.
Sorry for asking again but I want to Understand ist. You mean it‘s up to the King to Share a Photo with his son? I thought on fathers day the child has to do something for his father. Not the father for the son. That‘s the Reason why I wondered why William hasn‘t Shared a Photo of his father. Instead of this he Shared a Photo of himself in the Name of his children. It seemed a Little Bit Strange for me but maybe I Don‘t understand it

As I said earlier we live in a world now if something isn't posted on social media then it is perceived that there is a problem. I am sure William said / sent something in private, and maybe that is what they agreed to do.
We could come up with theories but that would be speculation.

They have shared a picture of Charles and William in the past so I think they take turns a bit each year to cover the children and William and William and his father.
(If I had more time I'd go back and look at what they have posted each year)

Given the current family dynamics perhaps they thought it wise not to share any photos of the king with one or both of his sons, we had a wonderful Wales family photo and lets be content with that.
