General News for the Wales Family 2: March 2024-

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Yes I would assume waiting a number of years before allowing a “married in” to grant royal warrants would be sensible given the upheaval if they divorced, as Charles and Diana did eventually.

Would a company receive one from ,for example , Queen Camilla as well as Catherine. Just wondering if it is only ever one royal warrant at any one time.

No they can receive multiple. I know for example Penhaligon’s had three- one from the late Queen, Philip and Charles as PoW. Possibly even the late Queen Mother’s at one point. Many companies did have 3 or 4.

Thank you

Harrods also famously had 4 - until they were removed after Mohamed Al Fayed began his conspiracy theories.

I don’t know much about Royal Warrants, but if the key purpose is to promote British brands, I think it’s very smart indeed to have the Prince and Princess of Wales issue them. In particular, with regard to the Princess, people and the media pay the most attention to the brands she uses and thus implicitly endorse, more than they ever do to those used by other royals within the BRF or even elsewhere. Imagine if there’s an official stamp of approval to products the couple uses, if it’s a small enough company, they could literally make the latter’s future.
There’s also this trend for a few years now of attempting to emulate the “old rich” lifestyle and especially, aesthetic, and that whole crowd will likely be watching closely which companies will get royal warrants from the Wales couple.

Very true. A jewelry designer is quoted as mentioning sales increased 50% whenever the POW wore an item.
Having her issue warrants can only help sales.

I’m glad the Waleses are continuing with the tradition. Especially as Denmark is apparently discarding the royal warrants under the new reign in an attempt to be ”modern”.

It appears that the Wales and members of Catherine's family went on a ski holiday shortly after Christmas.
I figured as much when James posted a skiing picture via IG on Catherine's birthday. He usually is celebrating his sister's birthday with her, so it would be unusual for him not to do so this year, her first birthday since her diagnosis. Also Carole's 70th birthday is this month. So a chance for the family to celebrate two extra special birthdays in the Alps.

She's artived at that age when vision changes, saw it with my husband even though he wore glasses since age 10. (I got bifocals when I was 8!) I think she will look great with glasses.

The Prince of Wales watched the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Phase MD8 match between Aston Villa FC and Celtic FC in Birmingham yesterday, January 29:

He seems quite excited about Aston Villa's European adventure as he also attended last week's match in Monaco.

That’s because Aston Villa haven’t played in the Championship league for many years, and to qualify for the final knockout stages is quite an achievement. William would have grown up hearing about how Villa had won the European Cup in the early 80s, and like all Villa fans hoping they might do it again.

That seems to be the hope and good for her. I also wonder if we'll see the recent trend of using existing clothes as well, that way there is nothing new to report on and distract attention from events,

This is old news. No idea why Roya from The Times is calling this an exclusive when the Palace has been doing this since 2022. It hasn’t made much of a difference because the media still focuses on what she’s wearing or how much it costs. And if she rewears an outfit, they fixate on that instead of why she was at the charity in the first place.

That’s what I remembered, I appreciated it at the time to be a change trlated to the change of monarch.

I might add that her team are quite efficient in conveying a consistent message about each engagement. I noticed that always there’s a block of info, identical in all publications, about the scope of the engagement.

And the picture was made by youngest son Louis!
He’s almost 7. That’s old enough to take pictures. It seems in addition to his mum’s heavy dose of Middleton genes, young Louis might possibly share her love of photography as well.

Heavy dose of Middleton genes is exactly what Louis is; just as Charlotte is a heavy dose of Windsor like William! George is seriously the only one with an even split!

I love the photo so much; she's a mum being a mum
