General News for Charles III and Queen Camilla Part 2, February 2024-

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
The King was most likely too tired (exertion leads to a weakened immune system), resulting in very tiring side effects after Thursday's treatment. According to feedback from reporters who met with him Wednesday night, he looked fine and was in good form. Some mentioned before that he seemed to be undergoing BCG treatment, and now it seems that he has entered the maintenance treatment stage. Although BCG treatment does not have as severe side effects as chemotherapy, side effects are very common.

Side effects usually disappear in one to two days, and a good rest can allow him to recover well. At present, it seems that their state visit to Italy will go ahead as usual. I saw on Instagram that the Italian President has sent out banquet invitations to the guests.

It’s always scary when you know that the c-word is involved… But having seen close relatives undergo similar treatments, i know side effects is to be expected..
Yes that's a worry and also the kings age too!

Nice to see them after a few days R&R, interesting that they have allowed the cameras in the church grounds this week.

I hope very much that both of them can get a few days of rest and relaxing after their state visit to Italy which as nice as it went must also have been exhausting considering their age and King Charles health.

The cameras were allowed because of the special occasion: a new piece of music by composer Paul Mealor was performed to mark the couple's 20th wedding anniversary.

An interesting compendium. :

Arabic aside, by far the most difficult of these languages for a native English speaker to learn is Welsh!

It seems that Charles and Camilla are spending a lot of time at Balmoral. Maybe that is the place where they can best relax from their royal duties.
IIRC the late Queen only staid at Balmoral from August until September.

Since Charles got Birkhall after the passing of QEQM in 2002, he spends a fair amount of time there. That typically includes most of January (though, in recent years, he has spent a fair amount of time at Sandringham around that time), about 3 weeks at Easter, and then August - early October.

That said, as King, he now returns to Windsor for Easter Sunday, typically stopping off wherever he may be required for Maundy Thursday.

Message from the King Charles III recognition of all who work to support cancer patients and their loved ones.

They have been at Birkhall every April since they got married, probably because it is both the Easter holiday and their wedding month.
