Queen Silvia's life will be made into a TV series – and filming will start soon.
German Bild writes that the new series will be called German Queen, and will be about the "love story and life" of Queen Silvia. The newspaper writes that it is expected to get the same excitement and hype as the royal Netflix series The Crown.
– German Queen tells the story of how Silvia Sommerlath met the Swedish Crown Prince Carl Gustaf at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, writes Adelswelt.
Filming is expected to start soon in Munich, and Miguel Alexandre is directing. According to Adelswelt, a large part of the filming will take place in Bavaria.

It's already clear who will play the young Silvia Sommerlath – a noblewoman, who has actually played royalty before, 32-year-old Alicia von Rittberg plays Queen Silvia.

The Swedish Royal Court hasn't known about the series:
- We have recently noted writings about this series, i.e. this is information that we did not know about before. Right now we have no further comments on the planned project, says Margareta Thorgren to Svensk Damtidning.
