Queen Mary has sent a message for World Women's Day today, March 8:

On this Women's Day, I think of the many women who have had a significant impact on my life and on women's lives in general. In a time of change and challenges, it's especially good to remember the victories that have been achieved and hold on to the dreams that are still waiting to be realized. And perhaps most importantly, remind ourselves and each other that we can all be the woman (or man) who supports other women. H.M. The Queen

Portugal plays against Denmark today in soccer, for this occasion Billed-Bladet has published some great photos of little Christian meeting Cristiano Ronaldo

Frederik and Josephine attended tonight's soccer match. Denmark vs Portugal

Isn't it delightful to see a dad-daughter outing?
And it's good that the time when dads would only take their sons to soccer is truly in the past.
And a thirteen year old girl wouldn't hang out with her old and almost calcified dad, if they didn't have a close relationship.

Love seeing them enjoying a father/daughter outing! One thing I've always loved is that M&F have never signaled out Christian because he's the heir. They've always made a point of spending individual time with the kids. And Josephine is such a daddy's girl (like Isabella)...and Frederik is a total girl dad. LOL. Looks like they had a great time.

I don't remember Vincent accompanying Frederik to any football games.
He probably won't like football very much.
But Josephine has accompanied Frederik to football matches on other occasions. Josephine seems to really like football.

I think it's been commented before that Jospehine and Vincent play in football clubs.
Nothing wrong with a father having one on one time with his daughter. May it always continue.

This morning, King Frederik X and Queen Mary were at Easter Mass at Holmens Church.

:previous:

Just the two of them...I have to get used to that, and the two of them even more so ;)
But that's life when your kids are getting older and some of them are not even children anymore ;)

What lovely photos. The King and Queen look fantastic. I'm glad they shared photos
Yes...they look great. Love that the DRF shared photos of them attending Easter Sunday service. Important as well.

Indeed. It makes you wonder why their children didn’t join.

Christian might be back in the barracks.
And it looks like Isabella's is having a private birthday party for her 18th today. Queen Margrethe has joined.

The King and Queen look fantastic. Usually in the DRF, Easter is celebrated privately. Glad they shared some photos

On May 5, 2025, the residence will be transferred to the Chancellery House, where the Royal Family will reside during the summer months.

"At the beginning of May, the Royal Family will move their residence to the Chancellery House at Fredensborg Castle, where they will reside for the coming months. On May 5 at 5:00 p.m., the Royal Couple will be officially welcomed to Fredensborg by the Mayor of Fredensborg and with flags and singing by the Fredensborg Castle Church Girls' Choir and the Fredensborg Brass Ensemble."

5th May, which is also Liberation Day, which makes it all the more special.

It's good to see the Regent Couple continue the tradition about using Fredensborg in the summer months.
And it's a decent touch to allow QMII to stay at the main building, where she is so much at home.
Apart fro QMII deserving that privilege after all her time as monarch, there is no need to uproot an 85 year old woman.

I am not shocked that the Regent Couple left the main house to QMII. That is where is she comfortable and I think they really like Chancellery House and staying there. And, really, I don't think they are the type of royals to kick out their family (much less their elderly mother/MIL) from her long time home. When the day comes that QMII is no longer here, then they will move into the main building and maybe leave the Chancellery House to Christian.

Plus, Frederik and Mary seem to really enjoy the Chancellery House, having given input to the Annex recently built last year

It is the space they started as a family. And if Margrethe still enjoys and is able to be in the main building, why change

I could see them using Chancellery house even after margrethe is longer around - it's been a family home for them for so long and more comfortable than the main house. maybe over time it will be refreshed and made ready for the future family of Christian

They have handled the ”who shall love where” question very well i think… There is absolutely no reason to forcibly move the 85 year old QMII who i think feels most at home at Fredensborg… And like KFX and QM has renovated and adapted Kancellihuset after their needs and personal preferences, I imagine QMII’s apartment in the main building is adapted after her needs with mobility aid etc…

I don’t think they have even thought about what will happen after QMII has passed.. It’s a question that will be handled when it when happens

Oh looking forward to this event.

Beautiful photo of the castle: https://imgix.billedbladet.dk/2025-...mat,compress&fit=min&crop=faces,entropy&w=600

Excerpt:
"In a few weeks, however, it will be a completely fifth castle that King Frederik and Queen Mary will appear at, because the royal couple will host a big dinner at Kronborg Castle.

It is extremely rare that we see the royal couple at Kronborg Castle, which is a very distinguished Renaissance castle that, due to its location, has a long and important historical significance.

But on 7 May, the royal couple will stop by. The occasion is that they are hosting a dinner on the occasion of Denmark's hosting of a meeting of the UN Executive Board"
