General News about Frederik, Mary and Family Part 20: December 2023 -

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
That is wonderful that she can join her family's weddings.
Her nieces and nephews took part in hers, how wonderful, time passes but the unity remains.

The beach pictures, Mary looks great!

Is Mary that well known in Sydney that she would get paparazzi pictures?

Mary is well known all over Australia, not just in Sydney. She and her family have been seen and photographed on visits and holidays here by many people, not just paps. In Tasmania as well.

She is an Australian who became the queen of Denmark, so yes, she is well known in Australia - and the city where she lived before moving to Europe. And the paparazzi seem to be able to find her whenever she visits Australia (although they seem to leaver her mostly alone on Tasmania).

Is the Queen of Denmark on holiday in Australia because Shes does not like the Court Hunting?

I think it's safe to say no to that one.
Queen Mary may not be that keen on hunting herself but that certainly won't be a reason for her to run all the way to Australia.
QMII never took part in hunts herself, but she was a dedicated hostess for the social part of the grand royal hunt, as is old tradition.

I was wrong sorry , thanks for correcting. But to me it is Strange that a Queen Consort is going on holiday alone , but it was her Country.

Mary was not simply going on holiday, she was attending an important family event and she was accompanied by her two youngest children.

As we have seen, Frederik’s schedule has been particularly busy in the past week which would amply explain why he did not make the trip as well.

I’d say that it is lovely that she attended her niece’s wedding even though she had to fly all the way to Australia. It would have been even better if Frederik and Isabella had joined them as well but at least the twins were able to join (I assume it was fall holiday, so great timing).

It could be that no Rigsforstander was available, in that case, Frederik has to remain in Denmark.

Yes, really lovely that Mary and the twins could go and be with family. I think it is understandable that a monarch may not be able to travel halfway around the world to attend his wife's niece's wedding. It was discussed (on these forums?) at the time of his accession that it was going to be harder for Frederik and Mary to get away for private family and friend events, especially those taking place in Australia.

Not by the general public Frelinghighness, but Ben McDonald … who took the shots of her and Josephine walking around Mackenzies Bay … has been photographing her since the Danish media hired him to do so back in the very earliest days when she was first discovered.

He was one of the men who went through Mary’s rubbish that she threw out just before leaving Sydney … photos, her driving license, shopping lists.

I’ll see if I can post a link to an article where he talks about those early days.

Ben has said how no-one paid any attention to the Queen amongst them on this latest trip despite the seven man security team that was with her and her daughter.

He said they, the security guys, were a mixture of Danes and Australians … and all wore R.M. Williams boots, (this is a famous brand in Australia), and each had a bum-bag.

They were a few feet behind Mary, but even this did not get noticed by the crowd around them.

This part of the Coastal Track is a bit of a bottle-neck … just above Tamarama Beach … and just the next beach along from Bondi, with masses of people out for the Sculpture by the Sea event.

Mr. McDonald said no-one noticed who she was when she left from here and went to a boutique in Paddington either.

She traveled with the blonde lady in a Mercedes-Benz station-wagon while the security men travelled in other cars.

There is a photo of Mary using a “Tamar Valley Grocer” shopping bag as a beach-bag.

This $10 hessian bag is from an IGA Gourmet supermarket in Launceston, in the North of Tassie.

I like the little touches Mary finds to keep her connected to here.

Here’s the link to Ben remembering his early encounters with Mary …

What a beautiful autumnal photo and what a difference from the climate and scenery in Australia!

Mary's niece got married over the past weekend. Vincent is there too, don't know about Isabella.

Have you seen the three photos of Josephine on the Bride’s social media Archduchess Zelia?

A member of the Bridal Party I guess, since she is also carrying a bouquet … even though her dress is different. (A lovely dress/colour.)

Of course described as ”The Danish monarch, 52,”… I was under the impression that the danish monarch is her husband

Daily Mail being Daily Mail….

The Daily Mail being the Daily Mail indeed. I stopped reading when they brought up the alleged situation between the King and the ex of the Duke of Alba, which was just trash. But the Daily Mail never misses an opportunity to remind readers of made-up tales about Mary and Fred as long as they are read.

So, not only I stopped reading the article but also went to my Web settings cookies and deleted the Daily Mail tracking cookies I got when I opened that page. My way of showing Queen Mary we can actually slap the Daily Mail off our computers for her.

Can you repost here or at least provide the bride’s social media name?

(..) I will say many members of the family are very open with their Instagram and Facebook accounts, so if you know the names of Jane’s children it won’t be hard to find.

And the professionals involved in this … and the other family wedding back in February … have also posted many photos and videos.

If you saw the photos of Vincent at the airport you may have thought he is a bit shy or self-conscious, but there is a photo of many, many people on the dance floor at the Wedding Reception and he is the only one smiling and looking directly at the camera.

A bit of video of him too ducking amongst the crowd during another part where he is smiling. He really looked to be enjoying himself.

The Bride shared some things from her honeymoon, and as I said above, the professionals involved in various parts of the occasion have photos and videos of different things on their own accounts.

There was a “recovery” lunch at the Bride’s parent’s West Hobart home the next day and the food was amazing looking, truly amazing.

I will not be surprised if Billed Bladet has some photos of Josephine at some point … her first time as a Bridesmaid I think.

You shouldn’t have any trouble finding this, and the wedding back in February, if you know that it has been a really big year for Jane … her sister becoming a Queen and two of her three children getting married.

The new official civilian portraits of King Frederik X and Queen Mary have been released.

Nice photos.
Some details, Mary wearing the proclamation dress, Frederik the pin for thr order of the elephant, and Mary's F necklace

I think it's the proclamation dress without the shawl. Back in January the designer Le Schmidt said, it can be worn without shawl and belt.

From the Designer "The dress itself is "relatively simple", according to the designer, featuring long, narrow sleeves, strong shoulders, and volume in the skirt. "Additionally, it is constructed with a separate waist belt that has a voluminous drape from the waist, around the neck, and over one shoulder," the designer adds."

and now that we mentioned Mary's fashion, I'll like to point to Frederik's 3 piece suit. bravo! : )

oh that's right! I forgot that the designer did say that the shoulder drape originates from the belt. Great design! I like the detail of her wearing the same dress in the first civilian portraits as the royal couple. Love the "F" necklace detail as well. She looks fantastic. Also, Frederik is not too shabby either. I love that the portraits are just simple, classic and elegant. No need to wear a bunch of medals on their dress or suit either. Just straightforward photos.
