Even just shortly after her death, when the royals would have known her, her name didn't get used much.A princess of England could be given the first name of Adelaide.
This would be in honor of Queen Adelaide, who was the wife of King William IV of the United Kingdom.
The only exceptions being Victoria's eldest daughter Vicky who was Victoria Adelaide, and Mary Adelaide of Cambridge. Both women had Queen Adelaide as a godmother, and it was (and often still is) with the German royals, common to carry the names of a few godparents.
