It’s actually the flag of the Cook Islands EML. The yacht, “Miss Silver”, is registered in the Cook Islands.

Australia’s flag is similar … as is New Zealand’s … but ours has the white stars in the form of the Southern Cross constellation.

It looks like Mary’s old boss, Chris Meehan and his Danish wife Michaela polyesco.

I think the family stayed in Chris’ Palm Beach house in December … there was a photo of Isabella on the balcony.

Photographs of a minor on a holiday in a swimsuit might not make the more stringent EU privacy standards? Just a guess.

I wonder if something has been planned (perhaps something to the extent of the more traditional summer photo shoots at Gråsten with the whole family of days past... :cool: or a gathering of the heirs) – otherwise M&F ditching Gråsten this year is a bit strange.

who knows they may be popping over to France to celebrate Felix's 21st, so a golden opportunity for family photos.

That's festival-weather for you in DK. If you are not soaked at least once by rain, it hasn't been a real festival.

And if you haven't passed out dead drunk in the mud, it hasn't been a real Roskilde-festival.

The Roskilde-festival is Scandinavia's answer to Glastonbury and Woodstock, except at Roskilde you don't see groovy colors and see lilac turtles dancing just by breathing in the air...

Interesting that the CP family did not spend any time at Grasten this year even though it seems after Ibiza they returned to Denmark. I wonder where Mary is though. Since the Ibiza pics we've only had sightings if Frederik. I wonder if she took time to head to Australia for a visit. He father is getting older.

Good lord, a quick look at Camilla's IG is enough to be horrified. No wonder her daughter's social media isn't much better.

While at Smukfest = Beautiful-party (because the festival is located in a forest in one of the more scenic places in DK) Frederik (and others) fell into a random drug test and he put his arms in the air ready to be swiped. - Good sport.

There is a video of that somewhere.

I think BT has an article with a video. He is a good sport. Some other royals might have made a stink about it (or their security). I read that many festival goers said they looked forward to seeing Frederik there and how cool it was that he went and hung out etc. One of the many things that make him relatable to the younger generation that the DRF needs to keep interested and engaged!

Cool! He obviously enjoys the interaction with the young people.
 
I was at Palm Beach yesterday and climbed up to the lighthouse.
On one side you look out to sea, and on the other you look back towards where Mary and family have spent several holidays.
Here are a couple of photos I took of the area that they seem to like so much.
On the left-hand side of the photos is Palm Beach.
This where we’ve seen Frederik and children getting ice-cream, Mary shopping at different times … only really one shop there, mostly surf gear … Mary and Frederik jogging, and Mary jogging past an enormous split rock that sits on the side of the road, overlooking the beach.
Just past the swimming pool on the far, (top), side is where Mary jumped from the rocks and was photographed as she hit the water, four of five photos as she went in.
And this is where the family has sat on the beach, near the swimming pool, when here with a big group of Oz and Danish friends.
On the right-hand side of the photos is another large, very large, body of water called Pittwater.
This goes back down from this area through several suburbs. (Lots of waterfront, and therefore waterfront property, in Sydney.)
The Chris Meehan house that the family stayed in on the last family trip is on this side, down and around some twists and turns, on the waterfront.
Also on this side is where the family and Michaela Ward, (Chris Meehan’s wife), and Amber Petty all made a run for it along the jetty after arriving on a tender from the “Matserka” yacht when the heavens opened in a big summer storm. That jetty is also out of view around a few corners.
Behind, and to the side of where I was standing, is Lion Island which the family sailed near and their vessel was photographed in some nice sunset shots.
And you can see the amount of bush around Sydney, no wonder we have such fire danger during the El Niño summers.
This is also the area where Sarah, Duchess of York, and her daughters stayed when they were here for Sarah’s sister Jane’s wedding .. on the left-hand side, but a beach down, Whale Beach.
Sarah stayed at a well-known socialite’s house overlooking Whale Beach, but it became known more people bunked down that were in the original agreement … mattresses on the floors … and that was a bit embarrassing.
This area has some glamour, for want of a better word, attached to it, but does not have many amenities. I had some lunch at the golf club there, and there are a few eateries, but not a lot of choice.
Very tranquil as a big area and, at least in winter, not many people. The golf course is in amongst the pine trees between the two beaches. Lots of bird life.
A good golf course, but we haven’t seen Mary or Frederik playing there. Maybe they’ve dropped that sport.
Also the tv show ”Home and Away” is filmed here, the outdoor scenes.
Many celebrities, overseas and our own, stay here … big houses to rent.
Hopefully the family will be able to come for a beach holiday later in summer at some point. December is not always the best weather, and certainly the water is colder early in the season, but warms up as summer progresses.
