Family of the late Infanta Pilar, The Gomez Acebo Family, General News: June 2024 -

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Bruno Gómez-Acebo and Bárbara Cano have confirmed that they are separated.
Barbara Cano confirmed to ¡HOLA! that they made the decision just over a year ago and that "there will be no divorce".

That's sad news as they were the longest married of all the late Infanta Pilar's children!

It is unfortunate that Bruce Alejandro and his wife have separated. It is unfortunate also for the three sons!

A shame that none of the kids have had a long and happy marriage like their parents’.
The family have had 3 deaths one after another in the space of 5 years ,so a lot of grief and sad times for them.
I guess it has all taken its toll.

The Infanta Pilar 2020
Don Fernando Humberto Gómez-Acebo 2024
Don Juan Filiberto Nicolás Gómez-Acebo , Viscount of La Torre 2024

To promote the upcoming Nuevo Futuro charity bazaar Simoneta Gómez-Acebo appeared at the TV show "Y ahora Sonsoles". She also talked about her mother and family.

I had hoped that Doña Simoneta would take over the Honorary Presidency of the Nuevo Futuro and keep the tradition going.

Nicolás, son of Juan Gómez-Acebo, officially becomes Viscount de la Torre!
Now, according to the official gazette of March 7, signed on June 3 in Madrid by the Minister of the Presidency, Justice, and Parliamentary Relations, Félix Bolaños García, eleven-year-old Nicolás Lucián Gómez-Acebo Carney has succeeded him as Viscount de la Torre, a title held by his father.

Its been a very sad time for the family over the past few years but at least Don Nicolás Gómez-Acebo title as the 4th Viscount of La Torre has become official!

Thanks! A small correction: The gazetted notice is an order from the Ministry of Justice to issue a Letter of Succession to Nicolás Lucien Gómez-Acebo Carney.

The title will not become official until the Letter of Succession is actually issued to Nicolás.

The Permanent Deputation of the Grandeeship of Spain, one of the official advisory bodies involved in nobiliary successions, recorded that Nicolás's succession as Viscount de la Torre occurred on July 8, 2025.
