On October 24th, Emperor Naruhito opened the 219th Extraordinary Diet session at the House of Councillors of the National Diet Building in Chiyoda, Tokyo. The session will run until December 17.

On October 26th, Emperor Naruhito and Princess Aiko attend the Autumn Gagaku Concert at the Imperial Household Agency's Music Department at the Imperial Palace.

On this day, four pieces were performed, including the song and dance "Kumemai," which was also performed at an event related to the Daijosai ceremony marking the Emperor's accession to the throne, and the bugaku dance "Kanshu," said to have been composed by China's Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty.

"Kumemai" is also said to be Japan's oldest dance and song.

On November 6th, Emperor Naruhito attended the opening ceremony of the 2025 Photonics and Electromagnetics Research Symposium at Makuhari Messe International Conference Hall in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture.

On November 11th, Emperor Naruhito conferred autumn decorations at the Imperial Palace. 14 people received the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Paulownia Flowers, Order of the Sacred Treasure or Order of the Rising Sun.

On December 6th, Emperor Naruhito attended the Japanese Alpine Club 120th Anniversary Ceremony and Banquet at Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku, Tokyo. He has been a member since 1987 and his membership number is 10001.

Emperor Naruhito's Birthday Banquet was held in the Homeiden Hall of the Imperial Palace.

This morning, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako, along with other members of the Imperial Family, appeared on the balcony of the Palace.
 
Today, March 4, 2026, Emperor Naruhito received in audience at the Imperial Palace the Minister of Justice, a representative of the correctional officers of the Ministry of Justice and their spouses, who received the Commendation from the President of the Association of Correctional Institutions of Japan.
