I like that they do plenty of engagements even though many don't get enough coverage IMO.
Edward's tour of Canada wasn't on the news in the UK at all and it was a pretty big tour. If the Wales' had done it there would have been wall to wall coverage. It must be a bit disheartening for them sometimes.

Yesterday, September 4, she attended a dinner in her role as Patron of Spruce Meadows at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel in Calgary.

Yesterday, September 7, the Duchess of Edinburgh visited the Veterans Association Food Bank in Calgary.

Today, The Duke of Edinburgh was in Leicester, where he visited the Brachytherapy Department at Leicester Royal Infirmary and its new, state-of-the-art Thornton Suite, the Jews' Wall Museum, and Leicester Cathedral, where he witnessed the completion of restoration work and the newly opened Heritage and Learning Centre, as well as the Tomb of King Richard III.

Today, September 14, the Duke of Edinburgh arrived in Papua New Guinea to attend celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Papua New Guinea's independence from Australia. He will stay until September 17.

How lovely that they not only met the emperor and empress but also the crown prince and crown princess.

They are doing a great job representing the king/UK abroad this month with trips to Canada (Sophie), PNG (Edward) and Japan (both).

Lovely photos of the Duchess with Pss Takamado in Osaka. They seem to get along well, IIRC they chatted a lot at one of the Swedish weddings too (CP and Sofia's, I believe).

Thank you Iceflower for providing all those links!💐 I finally got around to catching up on them all.

What a trip! I'm really impressed by her itinerary and all that she did and saw in the DRC. Wow!

Sophie doesn't seem to get enough credit and public acknowledgement for all her hardwork! Her calendar alone over the last 2 months have been quite impressive!
