Danish Royal Family Christmas: 2024 -

I loved the video! It seems like a typical family getting ready for Christmas, dad and kids messing about while mum takes the placement of all the decorations very seriously! At least it is the same in my own home!

A really lovely video, the most relaxed Christmas video I've ever seen from a royal family. They all seem to be having fun decorating the tree; there's no formality, no stiffness, everything feels familiar and easygoing. I always think that has a lot to do with Frederik's personality; he takes things more lightly than others, which is what makes him so endearing to me.

I echo Emily about the broken ornament - we’ve all been there! There’s a genuine quality to this video with the whole family enjoying joining in the decorating of the tree.I get 6he impression ‘Mum’ is the stylist.

The video was wonderful. Felt relaxed and normal, just happy family. The broken ornament and the dog after, have a feeling we have a little culprit there. Love Fred goofing off and dancing with the girls.

The photos alone would just have seemed super staged.

A greeting and a beautiful smile for the second Sunday of Advent:

Such a lovely picture… Here it is really obvious, in my opinion, how much of a young QMII she looks…

A wonderful video this morning of the 4 siblings decorating gingerbread houses!

The video is fantastic!! Soooo funny and sweet! A great treat!

The Palace also shared some nice photos:

High quality versions:

That's a funny video. Christian challenged his sisters to a sibling-challenge. Building a ginger-bread house. - And no peeking!
Well, as you can tell, the boys tried but... - Fortunately Christian had been prudent enough to acquire a finished house beforehand.

Initially it fooled Josephine: "Eh, why is their house looking ten times better?!?" - Isabella saw right through her brothers, because there is no way they could have made a better one! So she went looking and eventually the boys admitted that their own result was less than stellar.

Very cute phots but the video is just wonderful!
I know it's a planned video but the interactions between siblings is so natural and sweet. We have seen their personalities over the years and their interactions as a family. Very cute!

It really is a funny video! But it screams "scripted reality". Sorry, I do not want to spoil the Christmas fun...

You don't have to worry. It is very much scripted, that is discussed openly by commentators here in DK, but it still works. People like that stuff. It's Bake-Off DRF-style, done with a gleam in the eye.

I don't know who is behind it. But I think Christian has been charged with arranging it. And then quietly made sure there is a second gingerbread house, knowing perfectly well that the girls would outclass them. Because I believe Isabella's reaction is genuine: No way, you made that yourselves!
That's the twist people like.

It is a very cute video. I don't think it is overly scripted at all. I mean yes, the activity is arranged but their reactions come across as natural and organic, as well as, their interactions with each other. And Christian decided to pull one over on his sisters. It just showed their fun sibling rivalry.

Oh yes. Christian was in on it but Josephine was shocked for a second and Isabella quickly figured it out.

It was cute and a lovely video.
Now if they had come out all color coordinated in matching outfits then it would have been too much lol.

Love the picture from Mary today. Two doggies enjoying nature. Wonderful!

Im assuming the third advent calendar post hasn't been released due to the attacks in Australia.
A nice gesture.

The post for the third Sunday of Advent has been made this evening:
