Time flies…. I thought it was not a long time ago since she turned 40…. Soon it’s time to start planning for her 50:th

Yes, and when I realize that Victoria is almost 50, it makes me think of my own age too!

Nice photo of the Crown princess family meeting the Victoria Prize winners:
Tonight, The Crown Princess will present this year's Victoria Prize to beach volleyball players David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig.
Before the award ceremony, The Crown Princess and her family received @ahmanhellvigbeach and welcomed them to Öland.

Then David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig met the press and made their hand and foot casts at Kay Wiestål's park in Borgholm.

Crown Princess Victoria's birthday is traditionally celebrated on Öland, but she was also celebrated here in Stockholm today with 21 cannon shots.
At 12 o'clock on Monday, 21 cannon shots were fired in quick succession from Skeppsholmen. It was the Swedish Armed Forces and the Amphibious Company at Amf1 that fired a salute to Crown Princess Victoria on her 48th birthday.

Victoria's life in photos

David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig told to the media about the meeting with the Crown Princess family:
They had such a good time that they were almost late for the traditional foot cast in Borgholm. Jonatan Hellvig told that they stayed there for a long time playing volleyball. The entire Crown Princess family was there, and several of Estelle and Oscar's cousins.
– There was a big group of us standing in a circle playing ball. We tried to get to 30 – to keep the ball up for 30 strokes. We were very close, we had 27 there for a while! said David. They had also coffee at Villa Skönvik (buns, fruit, coffee and elderflower juice) and with such a sports-interested family, the topic of conversation was a given. Jonatan told that they told about how they felt during the Paris Olympics and a lot of other things too. David added that there was a lot of sports talk.

Svensk Damtidning's reporter Helena Wiklund is at Solliden. A lot of people waited for Victoria and her family and the King and Queen to come out from Solliden Palace - they were a little late:

I was there! And actually pictured in the first picture of the crowd (front row), in blue and standing at the right of the woman with the little German flag

Great! Nice weather you got too for this day.

Folk festival when Crown Princess Victoria was celebrated in Borgholm

Victoria Day attracts photographers from all over the world to Borgholm, and they fight to get the best picture of the royal family. Photographer Albert from the Netherlands is there for the 20th time.
With the whole of Borgholm full of tourists, photographers and islanders, the police are also on their toes: There are motorcycle police, mounted police and drones along the cortege route, according to police officer Albin Martinsson.

Performers of the Victoria Concert congratulate Victoria

Photographer Henric Wauge's lovely congratulation to Victoria
"Happy birthday, Crown Princess Victoria!
Today we celebrate our Crown Princess – a strong, warm and present representative of the Sweden we love.
Victoria is not just a future queen – she is a symbol of stability, commitment and hope. Through her work for the climate, children's rights and health, she shows what leadership with a heart really means.
And what a fantastic country she represents! Sweden – a country of nature and innovation, of equality and openness. Here there is room for both the silence in the forest and the voice in the debate. A country where we cherish each other and look forward – together.
We have much to be proud of. And Crown Princess Victoria is one of them."

Victoria looked so happy! And the more I look at her dress, the more I like it, it so beautiful and suits her so well.

Made by Albert Nieboer - no doubt the “photographer Albert from the Netherlands” who attended for the 20th time as was mentioned in Lady Finn’s post.

Why Sofia did not attended?

Yes that's true - but unforrunately there were quite a lot of press and photographers right in front of us so the view was somewhat limeted. But nervertheless I enjoyed the experience very much and had a lot of fun with my Geman landsmen.

Great to hear that you had a nice day yesterday.

Svensk Damtidning spotted from the Victoria Concert's broadcast, that Patrick Sommerlath's children Léopold, Chloé and Anais attended at the concert and sat right behind the royal family:

Andreas Norlén, the Speaker of the Riksdag (Parliament), congratulated Victoria with this funny photo:
"Warm congratulations to HRH Crown Princess Victoria who turns 48 today! The Crown Princess makes important contributions for our country and faces challenges with a cheerful disposition - like the rainiest National Day celebration in living memory, when I got stuck in the rain poncho."

Prime minister Ulf Kristersson congratulated:
"Today I and the entire Swedish government would like to congratulate HRH Crown Princess Victoria on her birthday.
The Crown Princess makes invaluable contributions to Sweden in so many different areas: For children and young people, for nature and the environment – and for the defense of our country's freedom.
We wish the Crown Princess a sunny celebration with her loved ones."

Radiohjälpen tells:
The People's Birthday Tribute raised 1.7 million SEK
A total of 1,710,835 SEK was received to the Crown Princess Victoria's Fund during the broadcast of the Victoria Concert. The result is higher than in 2024. In total, more than 13 million SEK has been received by the Fund in 2025, mostly via wills. This is more than during the entire last year's collection for the Crown Princess Victoria's Fund.
The Victoria Concert continues to engage the public for the right of all children to participate in leisure activities on equal terms. The focus of the fund is on children and young people living with disabilities.

Why Sofia did not attended?

The Director of the Information Department Margareta Thorgren said that she wanted to stay at Solliden with her children, Ines is only 5 months old.

SPA published a video. At the end of it we see Patrick Sommerlath's children arrive right behind the royal family to the Borgholm Castle.

Yvette Hermundstad, the hostess of the Victoria Concert, published some nice photos, also "behind the scenes" from the Borgholm Castle.

2300 people participated in the Victoria Run yesterday.

The organizer of Victoriadagarna thanks everyone:
Another celebration is over – and what a celebration it was! Sunshine, record crowds and a world-class atmosphere!
Victoria Days 2025 offered everything we could wish for – and then some.
The Victoria Golf at Ekerum Resort offered brilliant sunshine, fantastic results and a course in top condition.
On July 14, Borgholm showed its best side with brilliant sunshine and streets full of happy holidaymakers. This year's recipients of the Victoria Prize, David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig, were greeted by a large crowd and a large press contingent when the hands and feet were traditionally cast. Borgholm's sun-drenched streets were then lined with congratulatory people as the Crown Princess family passed by in a horse and carriage during the birthday cortege.
The Victoria concert was sold out and was not only filled with the frenetic rays of the summer sun but also with fantastic artist performances – it was an unforgettable evening.
Victorialoppet is a fitness race and a folk festival in aid of the Crown Princess Victoria's Fund. This year, the race attracted over 2,300 runners in different classes, the highest number of participants in 30 years!

The Victoria Prize winners David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig at their Instagram
"Victoria Prize 2025
A big thank you @victoriadagarna for fantastic days on Öland and an unforgettable experience. It was a great honor to receive this award and we are so grateful!
We also practiced our golf skills together with @jesperparnevik and Prince Daniel, but there is still room for improvement there... And thank you @kunguggla for the video greeting
A big congratulations again to Crown Princess Victoria!"

In Lapua, Finland:
The third Princess Exhibition opened for one day at Kosola House on the weekend before Lapua Day. The exhibition was inspired by the fact that Crown Princess Victoria was born on Lapua Day, July 14, which is the anniversary of the Battle of Lapua in the Finnish War of 1808. The Princess Day once again celebrated the crown princess of the neighboring country, who turned 48 this summer.
A congratulatory book made to Victoria was delivered to the court by the former prime minister Anneli Jäätteenmäki, who met the King and Queen in June at Hanasaari, Espoo.
