Victoria met today the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, at the Royal Palace.
Grandi visits Stockholm as part of a farewell tour before he steps down as head of the UN refugee agency (UNHCR) at the end of 2025/2026 after ten years in office.

During the afternoon, Victoria welcomed a group of soldiers who, after completing their military service, cycled from Arvidsjaur to the Royal Palace to raise money for Ukrainian children.
The Jaeger soldiers cycled from the Norrland Dragoon Regiment in Arvidsjaur to Stockholm, about 1000 kilometers, in 3.5 days. Via UNICEF, the group has started a fundraiser for the children in Ukraine, under the name "Cycling for Ukraine".

The Minister of Social Affairs Jakob Forssmed was also there:

The fundraising:

20-year-old Gustaf Wibom from Danderyd was part of the cycling group. He tells that only he and a few others knew about the meeting with Victoria.
– Yes, I and the two other initiators have had meetings with the court and planned everything, we have kept it a secret. The other cyclists did not know about it. So it was a surprise for both the audience and everyone in the group except us.
Victoria welcomed all the cycling soldiers, shook hands with them and took pictures. Her enthusiasm is unmistakable and Gustaf Wibom was also touched by the moment and the royal welcome.
– Yes, it was really cool and fun to see and to be noticed.
