On the day 200 years ago, on March 31, 1825, the planned porcelain factory of wholesaler Johan Herman Öhman and the councilor of commerce Johan Olof Wennerberg received their privileges from the Chamber of Commerce. Which thus gave them the right to start production.
Since then, porcelain manufacturing in Gustavsberg has been operating, almost without interruption, in the same place and in the same artisanal way for 200 years - which makes the place completely unique.
With its businesses, Gustavsberg Porcelain Factory and Villeroy & Boch Gustavsberg, its Porcelain Museum and over 100 studios with active artisans, Gustavsberg is a continuing active town that develops based on what once established the town – art, culture, creative industries, functional design, the magic of porcelain and ceramics.
On the occasion of the 200th anniversary, we take the right to name the place from now on as Porslinsriket.

Gustavsbergs Porslinfabrik at its Facebook:
"Today is a very special day, as Gustavsberg Porcelain Factory celebrates its 200th anniversary! Crown Princess Victoria was there to inaugurate the new name Porslinsriket, the area around the factory, and then received a guided tour by Gustafsberg's CEO Oskar Juhlin."

Victoria said at her speech at Porslinsriket among other things:
"After a visit by Karl XV to the Gustavsberg porcelain factory in 1863, an order was placed for a bone china service decorated with the three-crown coat of arms. Parts of this service are still in use at the Royal Palace.
Crown Prince Gustaf (VI) Adolf and Crown Princess Louise received the Ulriksdals service as a wedding gift from the Royal Court in 1923. (...)
The latest addition from Gustavsberg to the royal collections is the gift from the Riksdag and government in connection with the King's 70th birthday: the plate service Together designed by Daniel Hassila."

How refreshing that they choose a Swedish name. Far to often an English name is smacked onto things to give it them an "international" brand.

The sculpture also captures the lightness of the air, despite being crafted from solid, heavy bronze, which is quite amazing. Seeing this artwork in the heart of Stockholm makes me both happy and proud!"

Love the videos of a dancing Victoria. Her "I wish" statement when the singer sung "...only 17" was funny.
Nigeria is Africa's largest economy. A partnership in business, trade, and other areas makes complete sense.

Victoria was delighted by a journalist's Eurovision Song Contest question. She was briefly photographed, smiling broadly. She greeted the media briefly. She was asked one question in Swedish after the photos were taken:
– The Crown Princess, one question about Finnish-Swedish cooperation?
The journalist asked what Victoria thought of the Finnish band KAJ and it's song Bara bada bastu, with what they represent Sweden at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. The question caused laughter. Victoria also laughed at the question but said only:
– Now it's time for a completely different kind of cooperation.

About the lunch:
– The Crown Princess wished to eat the same conference lunch that would be served to other conference guests, Hanaholmen Hotel Manager Kai Mattson tells Iltalehti.
So Victoria eats Finnish fried rainbow trout with remoulade sauce and salads. The dessert table will feature almond cake and chocolate mousse.
– This is in line with our food philosophy: our meat and fish are Finnish whenever possible. We have been in contact with the court and everything has been discussed in a very good spirit, he continues, Mattson says.

Breakfast waitress Ghita Serko-Rikala had a memorable day. Victoria appeared at the breakfast buffet at Hotel Hanasaari among other customers just after 7.00. Serko-Rikala tells that she welcomed Victoria and asked if she wanted coffee. Victoria was very happy and positive, a very lovely person. Serko-Rikala wished her a nice day.
Victoria had hoped that her arrival for breakfast would not be marked by special preparations, that everything would be as usual. Therefore, there was a completely normal buffet table and other hotel guests at the breakfast. Victoria went to chat with them. The atmosphere around Victoria and the entire delegation was “overall positive and happy. They must have slept well here.”

Historic Meeting in Finnish-Swedish Supply Security Cooperation

The visit, organized by NESA and the Swedish Ministry of Defense, was also attended by Crown Princess Victoria.

Tarja Halonen, the former President of Finland, commented to the Finnish media of Victoria wearing the brooch she has designed at the meeting with President Alexander Stubb on Tuesday.
Halonen says that the brooch was inspired by the orbits of the planets and has the idea that we need to take care of our planet. Only a few pieces have been made and she has given them to some close people, such as Victoria and Queen Silvia.
Halonen gave the brooch to Victoria at her and Daniel's visit to Finland in 2010. Victoria seemed to immediately fall in love with the personal gift, as she wore the brooch with her outfit when the couple visited Lahti. Halonen is pleased that Victoria is still using her gift and says that the Swedish royals have a very considerate protocol. She and queen Silvia also had something in common: they are about the same age and have daughters of the same age.

Stiftelsen Håll Sverige Rent (Keep Sweden Tidy Foundation) about Victoria's visit to Nya Elementar school within the framework of the Litter Picking Days, Sweden's largest campaign against littering:
Victoria met with students in grade 4. They went out in and around the schoolyard to pick up litter. Inside the classroom they discussed about the children's trash artwork, where questions about littering, the environment and biodiversity were in focus.
School's deputy principal Karin Ring says: Victoria getting involved in the students' litter picking and listening to their thoughts makes them understand that what they are doing is important. CEO of Keep Sweden Tidy Johanna Ragnartz says: When children see adult role models like Victoria getting involved in environmental issues, both their knowledge and their ability to act grow.
