For the funeral in Rome tomorrow I wish to see Mette-Marit with an outfit like she wore for the welcome ceremony for the Finnish President state visit and Queen Sonja should borrow her pearl brooch from Queen Alexandra. That brooch has been unworn for many years

I wonder of she is actually wearing it, in this photo one can see a hanging pearl under her hair, there are not many brooches in the collection that has that I can think of:

She also wore pearl earrings and pearl bracelet and diamond tennis bracelets, and a big pearl ring

Interesting. Queen Sonja's former hairdresser told about the importance to make the hair perfect. And she could learn from her. The hair not styled like this, will always hide. Wish the court took a photo of them before leaving to the funeral. That would have made it clear to us what she eventually wore.
 
Mette-Marit wore the diamond and pearl brooch from the late Princess Ragnhild for todays National Day celebrations for the first time.

Probably wore it to the Vatican as well as there was a pearl drop hiding under her hair. It seems like she want to wear jewellery. And that is very good.

Nice to finally have a clear photo of the brooch
 
So great to see her use that beautiful brooch again. But on a darker outfit it would work better, because there is then some contrast

Storting gala

The tiara is meeeh but for a minimalist she is piling it on with a diamond riverie, the Victoria and Albert bracelet, her own diamond bracelet, pearl and diamond earrings and Queen Mauds pearl and diamond brooch which has been a favourite since she got it.

So then I dont understand why Queen Sonja is so stingy, she wears the same two sets of jewels all the time anyway, and the Crown Princess has to borrow from her student daughter. Though she has both the vifte tiara that can be a necklace and a three row pearl necklace she has not worn for more than 20 years…
 
Mette-Marit looks lovely for the night… One of her best dresses so far…

I have stopped hoping for another tiara… It won’t happen anyway…

I A’s diamond necklace and the pearl and diamond earrings complements the dress very well…

Great to see M-M bring out the collet collier, heirloom bracelet and pearl & diamond brooch!
 
It is great to see MM in her daughters diamond rieviere, but i find it odd that she has to borrow her daughters Jewels. Wonder why she isn't given something from the Vaults, as apparently there are plenty of unused Jewels there.

It is interesting that she borrows Ingrid’s jewels - they are happy to wear jewels that we know about rather than bringing new treasures out of the vault which in today’s world with all that is happening in the wider family is prob the best option
 
It's no surprise, or at least it shouldn't be, since MM has even used the necklace that was given to her daughter at birth/christening by Sonja, the little heart.
