Yes, I think it is highly probable that they didn't return to Denmark in the meantime. It's such a short timeframe, it would have been a waste of time and resources to travel around that way.

Are Mary and Frederik in NYC only for today, because I saw on the official site for the Danish Royal Family that they're in NYC until the 28th of the month. Of course I could be wrong. Just wanted to get my facts straight.

I don't think we (unfortunately) should expect many more pictures. Just as good covering M&F get... well when they participate in those long working sessions from morning to evening it's usual not much we get... Probably because long working meetings isn't the most "exciting". It's a long work day though, so I think it's a shame.

Perhaps. Could be fun! But I highly doubt F&M has been able to reached it. They are most likely jumped on the plane directly after Mary's last meeting on Monday night. They are ready for an event here at home in just a few hours.

Summaries of two articles in Billed Bladet #40, 2014.
Both written by Marianne Singer.

Let's start with Frederik who went to New York to promote Danish know-how. Pretty important stuff but nevertheless something that has gone under the radar. - Presumably because the editors think: Hmm! Men in suits, hardly a dress around, pretty dry stuff... how interesting is that? - And on top of that our readers are stupid, so let's skip it...

Frederik, in his suit, went to New York with an exhibition called House of Green, where Danish businesses that produce or sell know how in regards to environmentally sound initiatives can promote themselves.
The former mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg, decided to reduce the CO2 emission from New York by 80% by 2050. To reach that objective you need to do something and in come Danish know-how.
Frederik explained: "But obviously one is aware of what environment one's children must grow in. And as it looks like now, we can see that our weather in Denmark has become a little more violent once in a while - when there is a downpour in August and September there is significantly more rain per hour and rain with floods and damages in it's wake. So of course it's something to be aware of. And of course I must tell my children that some changes has happened since I was a boy. There is by now lots of facts supporting many of the explanations as to why it happens.
....House of Green was launched up to the climate conference COP15 in Copenhagen in 2009 and then it was presumed it should only be temporary. But it has proved to be a very durable initiative, which has just fullfilled it's purpose and graduated with flying colors.
It's a public and private co-operation where you promote Danish businesses who work in green energy solutions...
...So that's pretty neat. Danish industry and the ministries do just right by us being over here with House of Green".
M&F (perhaps mostly Frederik in fact) made sure their mansion at Amalienborg were renovated in a way to make it environmentally much more sound.

But Mary was there too you, and she was wearing a dress so she got more press.
However, it could hardly be more serious what she was attending: A debate in the UN General Assembly with focus on women's rights, sexual, personal and repreductive rights.
Here she met Princess Mabel, with whom she had a good talk.
Mary basically summed up what her engagement was about in this: "Girls and women's right to decide over their own body is a very important issue for me. That's also what we call sexual and reproductive health and rights.
I hope that I can help keeping focus on girls and women having equal opportunities, that their rights are respected, no matter who they are and where they live. And that it will be at the core of the world's new sustainable goals for developement.
Specifically I fight for the ten year old girl who live in a developing country, will get access to her rights and understand her rights, that she has the rights to decide over her own body, that she has a right to an education, that she can avoid a too early pregnancy, avoid contracting hiv/aids and not being forced into a marriage too young, that she will have equal opportunities in life and that she like any other person will be able to achieve her full potential".

Mary is interviewed in the article and as usual when she has a message she wish to put across, she speaks at length and in detail!
She basically repeated the above but also mention a harrowing fact: In the (worst parts of the) undeveloped world one in forty young women/girls die in connection with giving birth or connection with pregnancy. In comparison the ratio is 1:3300 in the developed world.

Mary will soon go to South Africa with the Minister for Trade end Developement, where a good deal of focus will indeed be put on the repreductive and sexual rights of women.
