Counts Nikolai, Felix, Henrik & Countess Athena, News Part 1: 2023 -

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
It’s the same for me 😅 Before i got used to the thought of his Gf’s name being Benedikte, i found myself wondering many times why he did so much together with his grandmothers sister 😅

If they marry sometime, it is almost good that his title was changed… Otherwise the Danish RF would have had 2 ”Princess Benedikte” 😱 It was confusing enough when they had 2 ”Prince Henrik” 😁
We need Felix to get together with a woman named Anne-Marie or Margrethe 🤣

Happy 13th birthday Athena

Q for our English speakers: Any thoughts about their accents?

:previous: And that's also why Benedikte wrote a "10/10 for niko’s lip sync" in the accompanying text.

Okay, I'm officially a fossil then.
That went straight over my head without even parting a single hair.
It went over my head, too. I was surprised at how American they sounded! Now I understand why.

Felix attended the gala premier of his father's new documentary
Søde ord fra spændt grev Felix: Håber særligt på én ting i prins Joachims nye film

"- I am looking forward to seeing a really good film. I hear that you see a side of my father that I have not seen before, so that is actually what I am looking forward to the most, Count Felix tells SE og HØR."

Here is my being a spoilsport. Great, Nikolai and his girlfriend are enjoying seeing some great spots around the world but isn't he going to use his education from Copenhagen Business School for something? Like getting a job or starting a business?
I don't know whether he is a good investor or is getting some money from his parents, but his lifestyle isn't cheap. He is now well into his 20s and assuming that he will hopefully be around for another 60 years, isn't it about time he finds out what he wants to do for the rest of his life?
So far he looks good on Instagram, but that won't last and then he'll be just another jetsetter.

Personally I don't respect jetsetters much. At best it's potential lost, at worst they waste their lives away accomplishing nothing and contributing even less.
In other words: Nikolai, grow up.

As we all know Nicolai is a successful model, he is also a brand ambassador for various luxury items, expensive watches, perfumes and maybe other things. I could imagine that he earns so much money that he can finance his current lifestyle. Maybe he wants to take advantage of this as long as it is successful and only later look for another job based on his studies. He's not yet 30 and seems very straightforward and ambitious.
But I admit that he is one of my favorite royals, so maybe I am prejudiced:)

I always wonder what people will say at the end of their days, to admit to ones children that they were a jetsetter - I am not sure that is the legacy one wants to leave if he is ambitious he will consider his time carefully

Hmmm. You do have a point.
Nikolai's education in marketing, branding, economy etc. that he got at Copenhagen Business School will be of great help to him, now that he is possibly making a living of branding stuff.
But that's a fleeting period. Sooner or later he is no longer interesting and then he may, well should, be able to combine his education with personal experience working for a marketing company or setting up his own business.
So, let's hope he is using his education because otherwise he will slip behind, because every year a new batch of hungry young people with his education are entering the market.

That's exactly what I think as well. At the end of our lives and looking back asking: What did we do with our lives?
For most of us it may not amount to that much, but if we can at least say: I contributed to society as best as I could with whatever talents I had, paid my due and didn't make the world a worse place. - I'd say that's not a bad legacy.
But if you say: I had brains and I had talent and I got a good education and I could have done much more, but instead I just jetted around enjoying life.

I can understand the concerns, of course it could also be that Nikolai is slipping into another level due to his contacts in the model business and his successes. Let's hope that doesn't happen. Beauty and success naturally give many people a high. However, he also has a family who will hopefully be there to advise him.
However, I believe that he will find the right path for himself.

And as for the so-called jetsetters, they will probably still be convinced on their deathbed that they did everything right. Sorry to be so pessimistic, but there are enough examples to confirm this.

I don't think Nikolai is a "jetsetter". He has a career, which is naturally a short-lived one (as it depends on looks that we lose as we age), but there are many examples of people (to be fair, more on the female side of the gender spectrum than the male) who started out with full-time modeling and then went on to run other successful businesses.

In fact, in this day and age, although I personally dislike this culture, Nikolai has a great shot at a profitable future if he can cement his position as a "celebrity" or "media personality" while he is modeling.

For me a jetsetter is someone traveling the world in luxury for the sole purpose of partying the days and nights away and doing as little work as possible or no work at all, while living on inherited money or off someone who pays you…

I don’t know if Nikolai is a jetsetter… He is a young goodlooking guy doing modeling for some well known luxury brands… That in itself is an achievment because it is very difficult to be selected for such jobs… As a guy nearly impossible… Part of that work is to travel to luxury destinations and to live there because it is where the companies are doing their photo shoots…

It is definitely luxury that far from everyone can afford. But it’s also a part of their job to show off that luxury…

It’s a time-limited career definitely as the brands will become less and less interested in you the older you get, but i think Nikolai understands that as he has gone to Copenhagen Business School.

The impression i have on Nikolai so far is that he is doing a great job trying to map out a route for himself in an uncertain future… Not everyone is a CEO, farmer or military-material….

Only time will tell if he was successful or not

I too am guilty of liking Nikolai. But every time he gives an interview, he comes across as thoughtful and well-spoken, so he’s never given the impression of being solely shallow and frivolous — or at least not to me. The work he does modeling has given him entrée into the glamorous life at a different angle than his money or position would, so I’m not sure why it’s expected that he do something more serious and dull currently, even if the glamour won’t last forever.

Additionally, if wealthy royals are going to be advised to get serious jobs and live more normally… why just Nikolai and not a host of others on this board? ;)

It is confirmed that Count Nikolai and his Benedikte intend to celebrate Christmas in Australia.
They were scheduled to end their stay on 30th November, but they are extending their stay.
All that according to Countess Alexandra's secretary, Helle von Wildenrath Løvgreen.

I guess they seriously plan to stay in Australia. Perhaps set up a business or find employment.

This is old info from November 2023 I think. When you click on the article and then on the billedbladet.dk article they quote, this is from Nov 2023.

It's when he extended his stay after the semester abroad due to university. He is done now.

He is spending lots of time in Australia though

Both Nikolai and Bemedikte seem to have fallen in love with Australia. They seem to have established business connections and a circle of friends. Good for them!

Where do Nikolai and Felix' maternal randparents live?

Anyone knows?
