This is my favorite interview of hers I’ve read so far. Her self-awareness of the world & passionate descriptions are great insights into her. I love how she talks about the need for face-to-face communication & empathy among other issues like world problems, social media & AI. In past translations of her interviews, she’s elevated women by bringing men down which I had issues with. So the part about embracing true equality between genders to have one help lift the other & recognizing that men have gender problems as well was refreshing. I’m so glad that she, as someone with a luxurious lifestyle, recognizes so many issues & speaks about them instead of remaining out of touch & secluded from real world problems. Kudos to Charlotte! 👏

Yeah, you are right, but on the other hand, this is exactly my problem: She had several relationships and never looked like she was discriminated against - and from the standpoint of the most women she is very privileged - So where does she know from about the experiences of the downtrodden and oppressed, especially the women? The tabloids? Out of books?

She most likely follows world news & specific social media accounts. When I was on twitter a long time ago, I followed accounts posting news articles & blogs about the state of women in third world countries. Either way, I’m happy that a more privileged woman like her brings up topics like this.

It could also be that Charlotte is being influenced by her relationship with the writer Nicolas Mathieu. He comes from a working-class background and described this origin in his book "Leurs enfants après eux" . His background influences his literary exploration of the modern working world and social injustice, he writes about class differences, describes the decline of industry in parts of France and portrays life in working-class families. According to reviews of his books it is said that his origins shape his view of society and class differences.

I’m glad that someone like him broadens her world view & perspective. I’m sure he’s also influenced her in writing this book as well.

To promote her book Charlotte also gave an interview to French Vanity Fair:

I love these vanity fair photos more than the Elle ones.

I feel, in the Vanity pics, she looks more like an individual, more like herself (as I see her perhaps..). While in the former Elle pics she looks often very much like her mother in young, as a young women.

It's nice to see that Charlotte has a good relationship with her former mother-in-law despite her separation from Dimitri. After all, she is also Balthazar's grandmother, and I hope she gets to see her grandson quite often.

There are recent times when she looks super relaxed, joyous & confident at these shows. But these pictures are more so her looking awkward, uncomfortable & having bad posture like in the past. Maybe she’s just not a natural at this or it just depends on her mood?

I love her passion!

On the day of its release today, January 29, Charlotte presented her book at a bookstore in Paris.

Princess Caroline, Pierre, Beatrice and Alexandra were present. Charlotte's partner Nicolas Mathieu participated in the discussion:

“The crack is no longer just a sign of fragility but a trace of courage. This book doesn’t try to put the pieces back together but to say that one can live with a crack…”

Following a literary and philosophical discussion with Laure Adler, Charlotte Casiraghi read an excerpt from her book, “La fêlure” (The Crack), published by Julliard, before the philosopher Robert Maggiori and prominent figures in French literature. Leïla Slimani, Sarah Chiche, Nicolas Mathieu, and Christophe Ono-dit-Biot all went to the 7L bookstore to applaud the author on January 29. Her publisher, Adrien Bosc, expressed Julliard’s immense pride in publishing this beautiful book.

Charlotte Casiraghi appeared on last night 's edition of la Grand Librairie.

She is literally the queen of hair buns! She always looks so glamorous & stunning with her hair up.
She has always been the queen of casual cool, and hair buns play a big role there.

I saw Alexandra's Instagram story from the most recent event, with Charlotte on stage and a "Proud" caption. Cute. I think it's a testament to Caroline that her daughters (no idea about the sons' preferences) grew up loving literature and doing something literature-related.

Charlotte has talked to Monaco Info about her book:

Charlotte now has her own website, mainly to promote her book & philosophy meetings in Monaco. It also links to her new verified instagram page at the bottom. The website still looks pretty new, so there may be things they’re still working on adding.

Charlotte has given an interview to French Version Femina:

And she held a book signing event in Paris yesterday, February 3:

I just read an interview with Charlotte in a very serious French Christian newspaper and it is very interesting. I already knew she was much worthy than it looked when we see her in celebrity/royal magazines. She has brilliantly proven there is something in her.

These are very insightful and honest interviews. I would love to read her book, but unfortunately my French isn't good enough. Hopefully it will be a success, so that there will at least an English version of the book soon.
