Caroline's children are perfectly fluent in at least three, not sure about Stephanie's but they do know French and English.
Perhaps "skilled linguist" was not the proper way to describe it.

They indeed speak several languages - although I don't know to what level. As Hannelore already mentioned, it's not too hard to learn different languages when you are young. Imo it's a great gift that children of parents speaking different languages have (or those who for other reasons grow up bi- or trilingual). Once you speak multiple languages it also becomes easier to add other languages; although of course, you still have to study and it will come easier to some compared to others.
