If you have a closer look into the Royal House of Fashion Forum you will realize that other girlfriends of Royals do have their own threads aswell.
Kate Middelton or Charlene Wittstock for example.

Carina definitely belongs into the Royal circles (she attends more Royal events then some Princesses ;) and official photoshoots/events of the danish Royal Family).
As she mostly likely will never be allowed to marry Prince Gustav she'll stay some kind of Princess-in-mind. :D
But that's another point and doesn't belong into the Fashion thread.

Carina has a good sense of style that suits her body type and perhaps her personality. She dresses somewhat conservative yet very chic. Simple cuts nothing flashy or trendy.

Is this an official portait? Carina looks great but Gustav? Very uncomfortable, he seems to vanish in the background and what's with the sunglasses hanging around his neck? Looks like a nice shot but not like an official portait, at least not from his side.

Exactly. A very simple elegance others could well learn from.
 
The image is from a recent, a couple of months ago I think, Billed Bladet article in which she was featured and discussing her 40th birthday as well as life with Gustav. I like her necklace.
 
Ms. Axelsson's 40th birthday ..? She looks much younger. I wonder what the secret of looking so great might be ... Overall I like her style: classically stylish, yet simple.
 
carina really had lovely outfits. she seems naturally stylish, classic and elegant and she didn't seem to need to relate to royalty to let that out to shine: always have, always will. she also looks so much younger than she is...

I don't know why, and I don't know much about her, but I can't help but like Carina. Maybe because she's American, so it's my American (birth) pride shining through, but she just seemed so laid back and effortless.
 
I am so happy to see a fashion thread for Carina! She fascinates me. I think that she is beautiful, and she has such an elegant sense of style. I absolutely loved the dress she wore to Frederik's birthday party, and the dress and hat she wore to Isabella's christening.
 
She has an extremely elegant style dare I say far superior to ol' Marie, and I enjoy this thread. Thanks to those who have posted.
 
Carina is stunning. She dresses very simply. Her clothing doesn't scream "DESIGNER" - she dresses safely, but beautifully. She doesn't seem to try to draw attention to herself. She is also immaculately groomed. Other, so-called "Princesses" could take a lesson in style from Carina.

She always looks very well groomed and has a smile on her face. I know she speaks English,German,Spanish & is now learning Danish -- lovely lady.

You are very lucky, indeed! I love the first photo. She reminds me of Talitha Getty in that photo.

:previous: When was the third photo taken? I like her dress, and I can't decide if I have seen it before, or if it is similar to another dress that she has been photographed in. She has a lovely style, and photos of her are few and far between. I am hoping that maybe we'll get to see a photo of Carina attending the birthday gala.

I like the details on the waist of her dress from the concert. The shape of the dress was simple, but very girly. I really like her satin shoes. There is just something very lovely about black satin shoes.
 
You're right, SGL. The waist detail is lovely, but imo the dress, overall, is okay. Something isn't "working" for me about this black dress... Here are some better shots of the dress:

But I agree with you glitteringtiaras that there is something that doesn't work totally.
I don't know how to explain this correctly but I think this due to the false sleeves.There was not cut in the material to make those sleeves.
This kind of dress is lovely when it's sleevless.Rania,Mary and I think Letizia had already worn this kind of dress but without sleeves if i'm not mistaken.
With this kind of sleeves it looks as if Carina hasn't worn a bra and makes the shoulders looks strange.
Anyway ,Carina looks lovely

Your right, the one that was worn in Thailand last year. Pink and floaty.
How nice that if it is, friends sharing clothes. :flowers:
Carina looked beautiful yesterday aswell. Black looks very stylish.
