Don’t they look wonderful together in all the regalia!

The Duke & Duchess of Gloucester are possibly the least well known of the working royals, but I don't think they are unknown, especially by those attending a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.

Yougov has the Duke's "fame" (the percentage of people have who heard of a person) as 43% - so while it doesn't compare to the 100% of people who have heard of William of 98% who have heard of Charles it shows he isn't unknown.

For comparison in the fame ranking of public figures he sits at 149th position out of 406.
He sits above Lisa Nandy (UK Cabinet minister, Secretary of State for Culture, Media, and Sport) at 42%, Narendra Modi Prime Minister of India at 42% fame, Aung San Suu Kyi at 41% fame, Bridget Phillipson (UK Cabinet Minister, Secretary of State for Education) at 36% fame. But below the likes of William Prince of Wales, King Charles, Elon Musk, Boris Johnson, Bill Gates, Theresa May (former UK Prime Minister) who all rank above 95% fame.
I think probably less people under 40-45 know them and they work hard and are straight forward (what I would say is needed by the Crown) but there is a paradox here. They do well at Royal representation because they don't 'push' themselves forward and have the air of *expecting* people to know who they are in terms their ancestry and connections (even though they have them in many ways) and there are some people who do act along those lines or have for a few decades. This more modest approach actually works much better in the context of a modern working Royal Family both at home with the public and abroad for diplomacy.

Today's garden party - Wales', Edinburgh's, Zara Tindall in attendance. Also apparently Princess Eugenie and Gloucester's

The man pictured with Zara looks a lot like the actor that played prince philip in the first two seasons of the Crown.

Here are some more nice photos and a video of today's garden party:

Were Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall attending in a seperate capacity? They are not mentioned on any of the Royal Family channels but both photographed meeting and mixing with guests.

I doubt it. I just think the BRF is trying to draw a very firm line in the sand between the working royals and the rest of the family. One way to do so is to only feature their Majesties, the Wales, Edinburghs, the Princess Royal & Tim, the Gloucesters, and the Duke of Kent (and, when she's able to attend, Princess Alexandra) on their social media channels.

I agree, given how much we hear about "half in and half out", "working royals" etc these days given recent dramas I think they are simply being firm that only "working royals" are featured and mentioned on official channels. That doesn't mean other members of the RF don't also attend and "help out" as it were but do so in a personal, more private capacity.
Also, when all the older cousins attended last years garden party with William it led to a lot of "they will be called in to help the monarchy on the future" type headlines for them each in turn. So another good reason to avoid featuring them too heavily and making them look like working royals when they are royals who work on other things instead.

The CC lists the Edinburgh's and the Gloucester's (unlike the late Queen who would have included Eugenie and Zara Charles doesn't acknowledge any assistance he is being given except by the aging royals - remember that there are only two working royals under 60 and it is probably close to another 20 years before the next generation will be on board full-time and even then George will be younger than William was when he started to be a full-time working royal.)

So you believe the absence of Court Circular acknowledgment is due to Eugenie and Zara's ages, rather than the fact that they are not working royals?

I haven’t seen pictures of either Zara or Eugenie anywhere.

When the Michael's of Kent attended things they were mentioned in the CC along with everyone else. Under Charles it dosent mention the names of anyone who isn't officially a working royal

It is a lovely chapel. I had the pleasure of attending a service there in 2005 - simply was standing outside and was asked if I would like to attend. I didn't feel I was dressed appropriately but was reminded that God would look past my jeans and t-shirt to the heart and had a lovely time. It was a normal Sunday service but one I remember with a lot of pleasure.

It was really lovely to see Princess Alexandra in a rare public appearance at the Queen's Chapel to mark its 400th anniversary!

Interestingly as Princess Alexandra has been regarded as a 'working royal' since Charles took the throne the CC didn't record her as attending so was there in a private capacity only.

A lovely joint engagement today!

The Prince of Wales as Patron of the Royal Cornwall Show and the Duchess of Edinburgh as Patron of the Association of Agricultural Show Organisations (ASAO) and Vice President of the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association attended the Royal Cornwall Show in Wadebridge today, June 6:

I want more William/Sophie engagements! I remember when they attended the premiere of the wildlife film last year, William greeted someone and asked, "Have you met my Aunt Sophie?" I thought that was so sweet. I love when you get reminders that these people are very much a family.

More photos of King Charles III and the Duchess of Edinburgh at the Royal Windsor Flower Show this morning.

The Duchess of Edinburgh together with King Charles attended our local Flower Show yesterday [Saturday] The Royal WIndsor Rose and Horticultural Show.

I don't know if this counts as an official engagement or not [i.e. whether or not it will be reported in the Court Circular] but to me it is another example of how Sophie works hard.

By the way, Sophie's curtsey was incredible - she really did go low!
