Princess Anne, Tim Laurence, Edward and Sophie, with James (Louise has probably stayed at St Andrews to revise for her exams), Beatrice and Edo and Eugenie and Jack were all there too - lovely pictures of them all, on a nice sunny day. And it was interesting to see Andrew and Sarah there, as well - it's Easter Day, and they're entitled to go to church, so I hope that no-one moans about that. We've just had live coverage on Sky News, so some pictures will hopefully appear online shortly :) .

A good turn out with the obvious exception of the Wales’ family. I have no issue with Andrew being there as it’s a family occasion as long as he remains in the background. I personally don’t think it would be right were he to start greeting members of the public and waving.

They seem to have learnt from the last time when he was criticised for leading the family (that may have been at Constantine’s memorial) and put him in a car so he can’t lead the family’s walk down. I wonder if Anne and Tim only joined him because of Tim’s recent injury that saw him pull out of an overseas trip with Anne then appearing on crutches for a while or whether it was regardless of that.

No Zara, Mike or Peter either. I wonder if Zara has been eventing.

Charles looks good and happy and healthy.

They all seemed relaxed and happy and Charles looked to be in good form. Nice to see

Was Anne walking with a stick when she left or was it just a brolly?

I see, Prince Andrew has risen as well. And in the spirit of Easter he gave his best pantomimic expression of "The Explainer" right in front of the Church Entrance. Oh my!

I think it was a brolly.
Thank you- you were right indeed. I went back and checked and it was. I thought at first maybe she had hurt her leg or something as when they left she and Tim were the only ones to travel by car.

The King and Queen, accompanied by The Duchess of Gloucester, will host a reception at Buckingham Palace on 30th April in celebration of community based initiatives raising awareness about cancerExactly one year after the King's first public engagement since his cancer diagnosis

The Royal Family will attend various events to commemorate the 80th anniversary for the end of WW2 - these include a service at Westminster Abbey, a parade and fly over and a concert at Horse guards.

Some reports suggest that George, Charlotte & Louis will be at some of the events - but has not been announced. This would make sense given the importance of the commemoration as the last big one to probably include any living veterans from WW2. I recall William and Harry both attending the 50th anniversary events in 1995 with their parents
