Weekly Update to 11th May, 2025
A note about this week’s entries: My analysis is based on the Court Circular and nothing else. Other than the King and Queen no other members of the family were named as attending the Fly Past from the balcony or the reception (tea) hence why George has the same number of engagements as his siblings even though we saw him attending the Reception. At the end of the year I include an ‘unofficial’ engagements list and all those who were on the balcony and who were seen or reported as attending the reception are listed there, just as all the royals who attend Ascot, other than the King and Queen, are listed there.

Weekly Update to 22nd June, 2025

A reminder that although we saw a lot of royals during this week only the King and Queen officially attended Ascot and so they are the only ones whose attendance is counted. The Princess of Wales was also not mentioned in the CC as attending any part of the Garter Day ceremonies (lunch or church service) and so hasn’t been credited with an engagement. It is easy to say ‘but we saw her so she should be counted’ but that isn’t fair to someone whose attendance wasn’t picked up by the cameras.
