Bernadotte Family Jewels 2: 2022 -

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
It's a shame I can't read the full article. I'd like to know more about Princess Birgitta's jewelry and what will happen to it.
There is nothing interesting in this article, I have read it. The granddaughter probably "inherited" stuff no one wanted, just fake stuff. No mention of anything else. In the pictures too, nothing interesting. Looks like stuff "everyone" can collect in these days.

Expressen has a paywall article about princess Birgitta's jewellery:
Carolina's finds in Princess Birgitta's home
When Princess Birgitta died, she left behind a large collection of jewelry. It has now been inherited by her granddaughter Carolina zu Ortenburg, 28.
When she cleaned out her grandmother's apartment, she made a decision:
“I really think she would have loved this,” says Carolina.

Hopefully other medias quote this article, it would be interesting to know if it has information about the jewellery princess Birgitta has inherited from her parents.
There wasn’t really any details about anything except the neck cross Birgitta often wore, and a hip chain with some sapphire and aquamarine stones in a gold link, and some glass pearls (probably fake) that Birgitta used as bedroom-decoration…

There was no information about any of Birgittas gala jewellery…

The granddaughter seems to be a very artsy, free-spirited and unconventional soul (not completely unlike her swedish grandmother)

Te channel of YouTube Scandinavian Royalty it's been working again for a few days now, and the first part of the 2020 documentary has just been uploaded.
Luckily, there's a translation option.

At Stockholms Auktionsverk's "The Curated Classics & Fine Jewellery Sale" auction on December 10:

Queen Josefina of Leuchtenberg's earrings, A pair of gold and natural pearl and diamond pendant earrings, 1810/20s.
Provenance:
Collection of Josefina de Beauharnais, Duchess of Leuchtenberg, Queen of Sweden and Norway (1807-1876). By inheritance from her mother Princess Augusta Amalia of Bavaria (1788-1856), Duchess of Leuchtenberg, who probably received the earrings as a gift from her mother-in-law, Joséphine de Beauharnais, Empress of France (1763-1814). After that, by inheritance to the current owner.
About history:
The earrings were part of a suite that consisted of the earrings and a necklace with natural pearls and diamonds. The necklace was composed of two rows of pearls with seven removable drops, each with pearl hats framed with diamonds. The necklace was later sold at Sotheby's in Hong Kong in 2021.

Here i really really really wish the Swedish Royal Family should step in ! This is a part of our cultural history that should be saved !

But the earrings will probably dissapear abroad, just like the necklace did i’m afraid :(

And who us the current owner?

This set of pearls was inherited, or gifted to, Prince Oscar Bernadotte, so must be one of his descendants selling the earrings. The Swedish RF already have a set pearls that belonged to Queen Josephine so I can understand why they might not be interested. It's disappointing that the Danish, Norwegian, Luxembourgish, and especially Belgian royal families haven't showed any interest in purchasing Queen Josephine's jewels

I don’t know but it’s not unthinkable that the earrings comes from the collection of the late Countess Christine Bernadotte who passed away earlier this year… If that is the case it is probably her husband Folke (a great great grandson of Queen Josefina) and their children who are selling..

There are pictures of Countess Gerty Bernadotte wearing the matching necklace but she did not wear the earrings so they may have gone to different owners in the family…

Part two is now also online

Other royal houses, take note. We would love to see you also make documentaries like these on your collections.

Its such a shame as the Queen Josefina of Leuchtenberg's earrings are both historic and beautiful1

Queen Josefina of Leuchtenberg's earrings were today sold at Stockholms Auktionsverk's "The Curated Classics & Fine Jewellery Sale" auction - the price was 160 618 euros.

Has it always had many different stones in it?

The Countess also seems to be wearing a brooch with a portrait ( perhaps an old RF order ? )

I agree with you all that i would love to see Queen Louise’s Diamond Tiara return to the royal family at some point, and it would indeed be a good starter tiara for Princess Estelle…

Though i somehow doubt it will happen… Princess Desirée’s family are swedish high nobility and holds the headship of the baronial Silfverschiöld-family… Having a family tiara of their own, especially with royal connection ranks high…

Maybe we will see already this year, what happens with the Tiara, if someone from the Silfverschiöld family wears it at the King's 80th birthday.
