I don't know how I have become an expert on "Veils of the House of Habsburg", but following some extensive research (ie homework) here are some observations...
The veil worn by Archduchess Catherina appears to be the same as that worn by:
~ Archduchess Margherita (daughter of Archduke Joseph Arpad of the Palatine of Hungary Branch) when she married Count Benedikt Piatti in 1998;
~ Archduchess Walburga (daughter of the Archduke Otto, Head of the Imperial House) when she married Count Archibald Douglas of Sweden in 1992.
The veil worn by Baroness Francesca Thyssen-Bornemisza at her 1993 wedding to the Archduke Karl, heir of the Habsburgs, was 200-years old but not the same.
There appears to be a variety of Habsburg heirloom veils as other Archduchesses have had different veils to that worn by Archduchess Catharina at their weddings. Apart from Francesca, the brides of Archdukes have tended to wear veils from their own families.
No more questions please Danielle.
