I wonder when little Albert's Christening will take place ,maybe after Easter?
I doubt we will get to know. Most likely a private EventI wonder when little Albert's Christening will take place ,maybe after Easter?
Aww he’s so adorable.
“Their Royal Highnesses Princess Astrid, Prince Lorenz, Princess Maria Laura and Mr. William thank you most sincerely for the kind wishes you sent to the parents and grandparents on the occasion of the birth of little Albert.”What does the card say?
I'm quite sure we'll never hear about it, but it would be interesting to know if a christening takes place, considering that William is Jewish and, as far as I know, he didn't convert upon marriage.I wonder when little Albert's Christening will take place ,maybe after Easter?
Maria Laura may still want a christening because of her religion however, we don’t know if Albert will be raised Jewish or Catholic.I'm quite sure we'll never hear about it, but it would be interesting to know if a christening takes place, considering that William is Jewish and, as far as I know, he didn't convert upon marriage.
Yes, that's exactly the point I was making in my previous message. We don't know, so it would be interesting to see if a christening takes place or not.We don’t know if Albert will be raised Jewish or Catholic.
Sometimes Judaism is inherited through the father but I doubt that’s the case for Albert.Jewish-ness is translated through the mother, not the father. I am 99.9 per cent certain that beautiful little Albert will be baptized and raised Catholic:
His Catholic mother is from one of Europe's most religious Royal families
If ML didn't intend to raise her children in her own faith tradition she would probably not have been married in the Catholic Church. Part of the Church's requirement for interfaith marriages is that there must be at least an implicit agreement that the children will be baptized.
However I have no doubt that their son will be raised with elements of both faith traditions in his upbringing. And I am also sure that when he is christened/baptized that there will be no press involvement.
