Prince Sverre Magnus Breaks Ankle During Summer Holiday

Norway’s Prince Sverre Magnus has suffered a bicycle accident while on holiday in Dvergsøya, the island in Kristiansandsfjorden where the Crown Princely Family spends part of their summer holidays each year.  “I can confirm that Prince Sverre Magnus has broken his ankle after being unlucky when he was riding a bike,” the Royal Court’s Assistant Communications Manager, Sven Gjeruldsen, confirmed to VG over the weekend. No other details were given.

Statue of Queen Sonja Unveiled in Park of Royal Palace

One of Queen Sonja’s 80th birthday gifts was unveiled today in the park of the Royal Palace of Oslo: she received a bronze statue of herself from the Norwegian Tourist Association. The King and Queen of Norway hosted a garden party for 1,500 guests in the Palace Park this afternoon. Jubilee Park Opened in Oslo By Royal Grandchildren

Yesterday Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway opened the Ingrid Alexandra Sculpture Park in the gardens of Oslo’s royal palace. The sculpture park which focuses on children was created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of king Harald’s reign. Norwegian Royals Cheer At Holmenkollen

The Norwegian Royal Family had an exciting weekend as they attended the annual Hollenkolmen FIS World Cup Nordic. King Harald V, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Astrid, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus were able to congratulate the Norwegian Therese Johaug for her 1st place in langlaufing on saturday. The planned Sunday competitions were sadly cancelled due to fog.

Norwegian Prince Sverre Magnus Turns 10

Prince Sverre Magnus of Norway today celebrates his tenth birthday. The young Prince was born at the Rikshospitalet Olso University Hospital in December 2005, the younger child of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit.
