Crown Princess Maxima opens a cultural center

On January 28, Princess Maxima was in Waspik to attend the opening of the new foyer of The Social Cultural Center, “Den Bolder”. Den Bolder is a multifunctional meeting place for residents of the Waspik area. Queen Beatrix attended the opening of the DeLaMar Theater

On Sunday evening, Queen Beatrix was present at the opening of the DeLaMar Theatre in Amsterdam. The theater was built at the initiative of the Van den Ende foundation, the cultural fund of Joop and Janine van den Ende. Prince Hassan receives the Bayreuth Prize

On November 18th, 2010 Prince Hassan was honoured by the German city of Bayreuth with the Wilhelmine von Bayreuth Prize. Jordan’s Prince received the Prize from Bayreuth’s Mayor, Michael Hohl, at the end of the 2nd Bayreuth Futures Forum and in presence of his wife, Princess Sarvath Al Hassan. Queen Rania makes NY Times ‘Best Selling Author’ List

The New York Times has recently published their best-selling list of books which lists Queen Rania’s book “The Sandwich Shop”, as the children’s best-seller. Queen Rania was on a recent tour of America, to cities including Chicago and New York, to promote her book on cross-cultural understanding in schools and book stores. Her book is published by Disney, and can be purchased in two languages; Arabic and English.
