Duchess of Cornwall Jewellery 7: September 2011- December 2015

Oh Baroness you have no idea how pleased I was to read in The Queen's Diamonds that the Teck was on loan to HRH The Duchess of Cornwall--now if ONLY we could find a photo of a private event where she actually wore it. And, with the reemergence of the Papyrus, perhaps--dare we hope--that that...

Duchess of Cambridge Jewellery 2: December 2011 - December 2015

I was astounded to see the Lotus Tiara re-emerge again---and gave a long sigh of relief as I was convinced it had remained with Linley. Dare we hope the Teck Turquoise Parure was returned to the vaults as well? It would certainly be most exciting to see HRH The Duchess of Cornwall with that...

    Princess Charlene Jewels 1: 2010 - 2023

Charlene is really quite elegant--and seems to be most comfortable wearing one statement piece--which at first was irritating to this jewel lover (Maxima drips in jewels and is the Queen Mary of this generation) but it has taken me a little time to warm to Charlene's style. However, that being...

Duchess of Cornwall Jewellery 7: September 2011- December 2015

I wish to see that luscious pink tourmaline (I think) choker paired with the matching earrings--and I would love to see the Teck tiara on her (The Queen's Diamonds states that it is on loan to her).

Duchess of Cornwall Jewellery 7: September 2011- December 2015

I, too, go into spasms of delight when Camilla pulls out the multi-strand pearl necklaces!I adore the one with the huge diamond clasp, but love the pink one (especially when she wears the matching earrings with it--talk about breathless!). I sincerely wish, though, that she would wear another...

Queen Mathilde Jewellery 1: Ending 2021

I'm not certain if Paola will keep any tiaras--she will not have significant need for any and can certainly borrow one if needed from the Queen. I personally believe it is time for the Belgiums to start a Foundation not unlike the Bernadottes with their jewel collection. This will allow these...

Sarah, Duchess of York Current Events 17: June 2011-December 2013

That's true enough. I use a tote with my handbag when I am working, but not when eating out. I don't like to encumbered! :)

Sarah, Duchess of York Current Events 17: June 2011-December 2013

I find it interesting that Sarah is always going on about how she has no money but where did she get that LV bag? And why is she carrying two bags, and one with her daughters emblazoned on the front? she puzzles me.

    Romanian Royal Jewels

That's not a great angle--I have seen photos where it is impressive--but overall, it doesn't crack my list of favorite tiaras.

Crown Princess Máxima Jewellery 2: November 2006-April 2013

I rather liked Maxima's wedding tiara. I found it to be whimsical and unique. The pearl tiara is , like most of the Netherland's Collection, gorgeous--but I really like that even on her wedding day Maxima was being creative.

    Queen Silvia Jewellery 2: September 2005-December 2015

The six prong tiara is really a beautiful piece--closeups of the buttons are impressive--but the effect of the tiara depends on the hairstyle. The tiara needs some hair behind it to really showcase it to it's best advantage, I. My opinion.

Jewels of the British Nobility 1: Ending Aug. 2023

The Westminsters have a truly impressive jewel collection, although I believe their pearl parure recently was sold.

Jewels of the British Nobility 1: Ending Aug. 2023

That is certainly a lovely tiara--but I am rather interested in the necklace, too. It is really lovely--the central element makes me think of thecPoltimore tiara.

Catherine Middleton's Wedding Tiara: Suggestions and Musings

I sincerely hope that the Lover's Knot is not worn by Kate on her wedding day--it would be unfair to immediately draw the comparisons between her and Diana. Also, it is a heavy piece (according to Diana) and not very practical for an all day wedding affair. I think that we will likely see the...

Crown Princess Victoria Jewellery 2: June 2005-December 2015

I completely agree; the tiara itself is really quite beautiful--a fantastic example of a fringe, but one reason why I am tired of seeing it is that she wears it the same way--like a halo. Can it be worn more traditionallly? And, speaking of Victoria's tiaras--her 18th birthday tiara should never...

Letizia, Princess of Asturias Jewellery 2: August 2007-June 2014

I thought that Letizia looked quite beautiful with this particular hairdo--it was very Grecian-like, at least to me, and the tiara looked lovely, as usual. It isn't one of my particular favorites, but she wears it quite well. I do wish we could see another tiara besides the Prussian the floral...

Catherine Middleton's Wedding Tiara: Suggestions and Musings

I think without question that we will see the Lover's Knot on Catherine--whether or not it is at the wedding is another question. I also believe that we are going to see some wonderful pieces that belonged to Diana on Catherine and we will see some on whoever Harry marries. I have no idea how...

Catherine Middleton's Wedding Tiara: Suggestions and Musings

I seem to recall reading about or seeing some brief footage that showed that the Delhi Durbar was not closed in the back when The Duchess of Cornwall wore it for the 2005 Norwegian State Visit. Also, when you look at photographs of Queen Mary wearing the piece, it is obvious that it is not...

Catherine Middleton's Wedding Tiara: Suggestions and Musings

I think that Kate would look lovely with a brooch in her hair, similar to one Princess Madeline wore here. She will likely wear a tiara, but I hope she does something similar to this at some point: http://jennyalexandersson.blogg.se/images/2008/maddeshar081211_23438020.jpg

Catherine Middleton's Wedding Tiara: Suggestions and Musings

The Londonderry title was created back in 1789 for the Baron of Londonderry and it eventually became the Marquis of Londonderry. There have been nine Marquis' of Londonderry. The tiara belongs to the Londonderry family and is not considered to be part of the vast number of jewels owned by Queen...

Catherine Middleton's Wedding Tiara: Suggestions and Musings

I do not believe that Queen Elizabeth will pass onto Kate a tiara that she continues to wear with some regularity. That automatically takes the Girls of Great Britain, The Vladimir, and Alexandra's 25th anniversary fringe tiara out of the running of potentials. I still contend that because Kate...
