Danish Working Visit to Vietnam: Day Two
Today, Wednesday November 2, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary started the second day of the working visit to Vietnam with a separate program.
The Crown Prince went to the Hải Phòng City, an industrial city, where he was received by the representatives of the government. Then the Crown Prince attended a working meeting focused on the wind energy sector.
Afterwards Crown Prince Frederik moved to Dragon Beach, in the Haiphong district, to attend a workshop organized to raise awareness among young people “about renewable energy, engineering and wind technology”.
In the afternoon the Crown Prince, accompanied by the Danish delegation, paid a visit to the Hai Phong Port, the second largest port of the country.
In the meantime the Crown Princess paid a visit to the Xuan Thanh Cement Factory in the Ha Nam Province.This cement factory works with the help of equipment and technology supplied by Denmark. Crown Princess Mary, along with a Danish business delegation, toured the plant. Afterwards the Crown Princess was received by the provincial People’s Committee of the Ha Nam province.
Then Crown Princess Mary attended a workshop organized by LEGO for a group of students between the ages of nine and ten. This workshop, entitled “Build the Change”,is “a powerful way for children to express their hopes and dreams for the future with LEGO® bricks and other creative materials, plus their own imagination”.
Later the Crown Princess toured the Tam Chúc pagoda complex, one of the largest temples in the world.
