Norwegian Crown Prince Couple Official Visit to Sweden: Last Day

The third and last day of the Norwegian Crown Prince Couple official visit to Sweden started early today, Wednesday May 4, when Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel and Prince Haakon took a train for Gothenburg, in southwestern Sweden.
The Crown Prince Couple and Prince Haakon began their visit in Gothenburg by attending a symposium focused on renewable energy at the Lindholmen Science Park. Then Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel and Prince Haakon paid a visit to the Maritime Dynamics Laboratory to be informed about a project developed by the Norwegian-Swedish shipping company Wallenius Wilhelmsen at the Maritime Dynamics Laboratory: the Orcelle Wind ship that will be “the world’s first wind – powered ship for transporting vehicles”.
At lunchtime, the Crown Prince Couple and Prince Haakon attended a lunch hosted by Governor Lisbeth Schultze.
Afterwards they visited the research vessel “Skagerrak” and learned more about “the ship’s capacity and the research, education and collaboration conducted in the marine sciences oceanography, chemistry, geology, biology and atmospheric science”.
The official visit ended with a reception held at the Norges Hus, “a meeting point for the large Norwegian colony in Gothenburg”.
At the reception were present representatives of Norwegian and Swedish business and there was a musical performance of the students from the University of Stage and Music at the University of Gothenburg.
