LOL When George was about to be born, everybody expected a girl and not too many were expecting a George. I really like the name Alice. If the baby Cambridge 2 was not a Alice, I hope Princess Madeleine's second girl (if it's a girl, of course) would be a Alice too (after Queen Silvia's mother).

Eleonora sounds better than Leonore. I prefer names that ended with a, sound more feminine and strong. At least this baby is called Maria, what fills all these requirements :)

I don't think it's a big issue the fact that Leonore is a princess, a duchess and is a HRH. King Carl Gustav maybe thinks that is better to have a line of succession with more people. We don't know if Victoria will have other child ou children or how many kids Carl Philip will have so maybe is...

Very disappointed with the name Leonor. There's other Leonor/Leonore around and I think it's too much. You have to understand that in Brazil it's not a common name and even if it was used in the past, the young generations don't think to name the babies as Leonor. And I also think it doesn't...

I don't understand why people say the baby is small. 3 kilos is a normal weight. My niece was bor with 3,05 kilos and she was completely healthy. And been born one week before the expected date is not a big deal. The baby's weight wouldn't change that much in one week. And regarding the name...

I hope for Alice. It's a beautiful name and will be a wonderful tribute to Queen Silvia's family, since Alice is her mother's name.
