A Wife for Prince Andrew, Duke of York

I agree with your assessment, Iluvbertie. If they are a couple anyway - and it seems to many of us that they are - offering Sarah "the protection of being his wife" makes perfect sense to me. Such a situation would offer protection to both Sarah and the Royal Family.

William and Kate: engagement and relationship rumours and musings 2010

Agreed, Lighthouse. As for the CofE, one of the linked articles here described it as "toothless", which seems a very accurate summary to me. Everyone is terrified to stand up for moral absolutes these days. It saddens me. From a more prosiac view: will Kate still have enough "fertile" years...

Sarah, Duchess of York: "Cash for Access" - May 2010

I am disturbed by that admission too. She should not be able to touch that money. Is anyone reporting on today's anticipated meeting between Sarah and PA yet? So far, I haven't come across any information...

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie's Fashion and Style Part 1: January 2007 -

I have noticed that the princesses wear black at times, which brings a question to mind. It was my understanding that the British royal ladies only wore black as a colour of mourning. Do I have it wrong? What is the current royal protocol on this matter?

William and Kate: engagement and relationship rumours and musings 2010

This is what I have a problem with. Traditionally, royalty and nobility have led the way in moral example; they have been the leaders, not the followers, in upholding the best in society and culture. William, by going with the flow of his generation, is being a follower and not a leader. When...

    Queen Elizabeth Pregnancy Photos

My grandfather use to tell me a story about that 1959 visit to Canada. He was in the Royal Canadian Air Force at the time, and was one of the men chosen to be of service to Her Majesty throughout that visit. Late one night, he had to deliver a note from HM to Prime Minister Diefenbaker. The PM...

Sarah, Duchess of York: "Cash for Access" - May 2010

Welcome, LadyHylton! Interesting article. How reliable is the Daily Mail? I don't know much about the various British papers.

Duke and Duchess of Anjou: birth of twin sons May 2010

Hearty Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Anjou, and to "big sister" Eugenia. I am delighted for them!

Sarah, Duchess of York: "Cash for Access" - May 2010

Perhaps she could polish up her writing skills, and write more books. ( Not the tell-all kind. ) She enjoys children; she could write more books for them. It is a competitive business, but she already has her foot in that door. I am sure she could be published again. Or maybe she could become...

William and Kate: engagement and relationship rumours and musings 2010

I always feel especially sorry for the woman when a relationship drags on and on, without a wedding in sight. People here may think me an old fogey...which I probably am... but a woman's best childbearing years can vanish very quickly. I also hold the traditional position that the royal...

Sarah, Duchess of York: "Cash for Access" - May 2010

The thought of Sarah doing "Celebrity Apprentice" or "Dancing With the Stars" gives me the same feeling I had when the young royals did "It's A Royal Knockout" all those years ago. Disappointment. Anyone associated with the royal family should surely steer clear of such cheese. I understand...

Sarah, Duchess of York: "Cash for Access" - May 2010

This would be the most sensible approach, IMHO. The other option floating around - setting her up with a home and monthly allowance, in return for good behaviour - I'd label as second choice. "Cutting her loose" would be very unwise at this point, methinks.
