The Closest Royal Siblings
My vote goes for Felipe of Spain
What do you think?:) |
Prince Felipe
|
CP Victoria of Sweden.
|
For me prince Felipe of spain too
|
I think also Prince Albert is close to his sisters.
|
I think Prince William and Prince Harry have quite a bond, (considering what they've gone through together)...but I think the relationships between all of the royal siblings are probably strong, and unique in their own ways.
|
Crown Princess Victoria
|
Prince Felipe with his sisters.
|
Prince Albert, Princess Caroline and Princess Stephanie of Monaco
Crown Prince Felipe, Infanta Elena and Infanta Christina Crown Prince Haakon and Princess Martha-Louise Prince William and Prince Harry of Wales |

I voted for Felipe because he's still close to his sisters even if they are all married and with families of their own, they still spend time together and their relationship is great.
Other heirs may have been close once, but after marriages and family lives, they drifted apart |
I always thought the three Swedish siblings were very close, I love seeing pictures of the three of them together!
There also seems to be a very strong bond between Albert & Stephanie of Monaco. :) |
Prince albert of Monaco has a wonderful relationship with Steph and also a nice one with Caroline
Prince Felipe with Infantas Elena and Cristina |

Thanks for the pictures!:) And go back to your exams!:p I must admit though I am another one, who should be studying hard right now... ;) |
My vote goes to the Swedish Royal sibs, too. They seem so close and considerate of one another. :)

Thanks for posting and sharing, soCal girl!! |
Don't forget about the Luxembourg royal kids, HGD Prince Guillaume seems close to his brothers and sisters.
|
CP Victoria

I would say CP Victoria. Charles doesn't really see alot of his siblings and the atmosphere between Edward and Charles has been very frosty for a few years now. I think he's close to Anne but apparantly he doesn't see that much of Andrew.
|
Naruhito and Akishino. Not! :-)
|
Crown Prince Fredrik of Denmark

I vote for Albert of Monaco too. Since he's been 'eliminated' by ascending to his crown, here are some other thoughts:
when there is one male heir and the other siblings are female, the family seems closer. But when the heir can be male or female and the family has both, the closeness depends on age. However, when the heir must be male and there are other males in the family-there is friction, which can be lessened if there is a female sibling. |
I've always got the impression that Willem Alexander and his brothers are very close.
|
I think Prince Albert of Monaco and Princess Stephanie are very close.
The same goes for Prince Charles and Princess Anne. |
Prince Albert and Princess Stephanie
|
Princess Victoria
|
Princes William and Harry.
|
The three sons of Queen Beatrix and Prince Claus
The three princes are very close and do love each other. They also openly hug and kiss each other and are very 'touchy'.

Crown Princess Victoria!
|
I loved the pics of the Netehrlands siblings...They looks so close one for the other! Queen Beatrix and Prince Claus could feel really proud of their children. How sad that Prince Claus could not know closely his grandchildren...
Vanesa. |
I think this is Victoria of Sweden, too. She seems very close to both Madeleine and Carl Philip.
|
Prince Felipe.
Crown Princess Victoria. Crown Prince Frederik. Prince William. |
LQ, are you sure CP Felipe is close to the Infantas? Elena and Christina seem very close to each other, but what about their relationship with their brother? I believe they are not that close anymore, especially since Felipe got married. This is just my impression, that's why I'm asking.
|
I have no idea whether Frederik and Joachim of Denmark are especially close (after all, talking about relationships in families one doesn't know personally is purely speculative), but this is a really sweet picture of them that makes me think that they do have a good relationship:
https://i42.tinypic.com/2yukjnb.jpg (taken during Prince Henrik's 75th birthday festivities) Also, I agree that the Swedish siblings seem to be very fond of each other! |
Sure. I wouldn't doubt about Frederick's and Joachim's close relationship. But the Swedish siblings come first to mind because it's so obvious that they also enjoy each other's company. One is always happier when she/he sees his siblings as friends.

How about older siblings like Mergrethe, Anne-Marie, Benedikte? They seems be close to each other specially the older two.

Margrethe, Benedikte, and Anne-Marie weren't particularly close until their mother died. They lived very separately in different countries, and most of what they heard from each other came through Queen Ingrid. (Benedikte was of course in Denmark often, but she and Margrethe did not make much effort to see very much of each other because they had never gotten along very well.) After Ingrid's death in 2000, their relationship changed a lot and the three of them became very close - the book Tre Sostre talks about how they see each other as often as possible and talk on the phone frequently.
Margrethe is quoted as saying: "We were simply closer together than we ever were when our parents lived. We have never been as close as we are today. When mom passed away, we suddenly discovered everything that binds us together. Our relationship grew stronger, and today we come together in an entirely different level than we did before. [In the past] our common connection was always Mother. But we must instinctively have known that when she was gone, we had to stick together, otherwise we would lose each other. We knew that deep inside, and therefore we did not lose each other - quite the contrary. We discovered that we were each other's closest when we did not have a mother anymore." Jan Bloch Skipper, the journalist who conducted the interviews for the book, remarked on how affectionate they seemed to be with each other. In the interviews he prints, they certainly seem to interact well together. Margrethe is definitely the dominant one of the three, but she also seems surprisingly motherly with them. She and Benedikte still seem to see Anne-Marie as their baby sister. |

HSH Prince Albert
In all the world no brother has been closer to his sisters and they to him than HSH Prince Albert of Monaco.

About Felipe and sisters: on photos or videos it looks that Felipe is closer to Elena than Cristina.
|
my vote go to Crown Prince Hakoon and Princess Martha Louisa

The Swedish Royal siblings
Willam and Harry |
Quote:
The Queen and Princess Margaret looked close too,as do Peter and Zara and Beatrice and Eugenie. It must be lonely growing up in those unusual circumstances- a sibling must be a blessing! |
I get the impression that CP Victoria and her sister Princess Madeline are close.
|
Prince Albert and Princess Stephanie
Infanta Elena and Infanta Cristina Swedish Royal Siblings |
Queen Beatrix and her sisters, especially with princess Margriet
Prince Willem Alexander with his brothers Princess Caroline and Prince Albert Princess Victoria with her sabling's :) |
Prince William and his brother Prince Harry seem close as they are close in agge. Prince Andrew and Prince Edward at least in their younger days seemed pretty close. The ones who are closer in age usually are. The ones where there is an age difference the closeness may come later in life.
|
Well, HGD Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg enjoys being a big brother to his younger siblings! :)
|
Queen Elizabeth II and her younger sister, Princess Margaret, are example of good sisters/siblings, and of sisterly love. In fact, I was very touched when QEII burst into tears during Princess Margaret's funeral. :(
|
Queen Sofia & her sister Princess Irene of Greece.
Queen Beatrix & her sister Princess Margriet of the Netherlands. The Infantas Elena & Cristina of Spain Princes William & Harry of Wales. TSH Prince Albert II & Princess Stephanie of Monaco. |
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Prince Henry of Wales |
The Sun reports that Prince Harry and Prince William have made up.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/10775020 However, is everything absolutely accurate in The Sun? |

HM Queen Elizabeth II & Princess Margaret and Princess Beatrice & Princess Eugenie...ironically all princesses of York and daughters of a second son, but all examples of very close, supportive relationships.
