That looks like Madeleine's Lexus SUV. Is Carl Philip using it while Madeleine is in NYC? Or do they both drive the same car?

I think that's Carl Philip's own Lexus, they all drive the same type of car :) The press reported recently that the King has ended the lease for Princess Madeleine's car now that she's in the US.

He ended the lease, so was he paying for it?

I think this birthday will be a private one. He's turning 26 (which is special) but not special enough to have public celebrations like his 18th birthday when he came of age.

berry 05-14-2006 03:48 AM

he is turning 27. Born 1979.

GrandDuchess 05-14-2006 06:43 AM

There was a congratulatory ceremony on the Outer Court Yard at the Royal Palace of Stockholm when Prince Carl Philip turned 25, as well as an interview on TV, so I guess they considered that special. But on his "normal" birthdays we get nothing, it's all private. Perhaps next time when he turns 30 :D

Do you know how is celebrated this day?

robby86 06-05-2006 05:19 PM

I haven't heard anything in a while what has he been doing? Is he on holiday or is school not over yet?

He┤s probably busy with the last things at school... but today he will be at the Palace and later on at Skansen open air museum and celebrate the swedish national day!

The Prince goes to Germany & the World Cup!

The Court Marshal of H.R.H. The Crown Princess' Household says to the media today that Prince Carl Philip, together with four childhood friends, will go to Germany to attend the World Cup match between Sweden and England on Tuesday.

Ohh he┤s so lucky, I could kill for a ticket to that game :)

kaydura0717 06-19-2006 10:59 AM

Yay new pic!!! He's so lucky to go to the World Cup, I'm stuck watching it on TV.

Yennie 06-20-2006 05:22 PM

No photos of him in Germany yet? I didnt saw him on tv either...
but hey, it was a great game! (2-2)

kaydura0717 06-26-2006 11:35 AM

As no one saw him we cant be 100 % sure, but since it was mentioned in the official calendar I think it would be strange if he hadnt been there...?

Elki 06-26-2006 01:58 PM

I watched the German news carefully, he wasn't even mentioned in the German media, so I was wondering whether he was really in Cologne or not...

GrandDuchess 06-30-2006 04:53 AM

He was there, but even if it was mentioned in the official calendar, it seems he was there in private together with four friends. He wasn't seated in the VIP section, but in the normal crowd, and was mentioned in two articles I saw (he was spotted before the match).

The O.C. Fanatic 06-30-2006 09:47 PM

I wonder if any of the Swedish fans said anything to him? I would've been like CARL!!! if he was feet away from me.

Yesterday at the Royal Family's summer haven Solliden at the island of Íland, Prince Carl Philip went kite surfing. Apparently he's been practicing it for two years, the sport came to Sweden seven years ago.

The Prince tries to practice it whenever he has the time, and according to a source of Aftonbladet, the King has also taken an interest and started to learn.

It can be a dangerous sport is one doesn't master the technique and have "education" for it, but Carl Philip apparently masters it but takes people with him in the boat for safety.
