Dona Letizia Ortiz visits her grandfather Francisco for his birthday

MADRID (EUROPE PRESS)

The cámaras could record yesterday to Dona Letizia Ortiz, who visited her grandfather, Francisco Rocasolano, in the day of his 88 birthdays. The princess of Asturias came and went out of the domicile of her mother, Paloma Rocasolano, in her vehicle.
Likewise, the journalists interviewed don Francisco while he was giving a walk. On having congratulated him, he thanked and commented that he was well. On having said to him that several women of the family were embarrassed, the ex-taxi driver aimed: " Yes, the whole world knows it ". In this respect, he confirmed that Abigail Rocasolano, cousin of dona Letizia, is going to have a baby.
Finally, don Francisco declared with sense of the humor that he was expiring many years and that they had given him many things, beside saying that his wife is well.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The journalists should be a bit more respectful, today I have seen the images in television, and it was tremendous to see a 88-year-old man surrounded with journalists who were asking things him, and the very nice man without knowing almost that to say to them.

They are not, only one saw Letizia's car and that of the escort to enter the garage. If there is someone I do not believe that they are very good, probably appear next week in some magazine.

Do you know how does Letizia's car look like and what is its mark?

rchainho 07-24-2005 01:55 PM

It's the same as the prince: Audi.

Letizia has made more exercise than if Monday had haggled

08 of August of 2005

If the decision of Felipe de Borbón of not participating in the glass of the King already were strange, the astonishment grew when attributing this desertion to the will to accompany its wife, of whom it has been two years without separating nor a moment. I tangle, attributed unquestionable to orders emanated directly of Letizia Ortiz and therefore, complicaba more when reading the chronicles of the officious spokesmen of the Zarzuela, pawned on defending the decision of the pair and on regañar to the Majorcans to see wounded its susceptibility with too much lightness. Frankly, an island that in the last one hundred years has been visited by Lady Di, Gary Cooper, Jacqueline Kennedy, Maria Callas, Louis Armstrong, Steven Spielberg, Albert Camus, Cassius Clay, Rudolf Nureiev, Jimi Hendrix, Bill Clinton, Mijaíl Gorbachev, Grace of Monaco, Jack Nicholson, John Lennon, Marlene Dietrich, Herbert von Karajan or Ava Gardner, not incomoda too much when Princess de Borbón flies to other latitudes. The reaction of the princes is the greater symptom of the resonance that has acquired the displeasure by the nautical emancipation of the heir. Ever since the absence was notified, they have multiplied its affectionate appearances by a skeptical and little enthusiastic island with carantoñas. After maratones street, of the visit from courtesy to the regatístico enclosure not to ruin the expectations of business of the Puig, of the voracious abundance of food of giant ensaimada and whose lipídica density would cause the enarcamiento of eyebrows of a gynecologist, already we even can affirm that the wearing down of Letizia Premamá has not only been superior to which had experimented to have allowed that his husband haggled. Nor haggling over she herself it had made a similar effort. And since the absence acompasó with the announcement of a trip to Asturias, Princes de Idem has had to exhibit more mallorquinidad of the one than ever had wished. The counterpart of the monopoly of the present time in charge of Letizia Ortiz - as she says famous ' paparazzó, "I only unholster my flash if I must portray the Princess" - is that the King haggles in the middle of the general indifference, while everybody worries about the ups and downs of its daughter-in-law. In short, not even Paul Newman can be conceited of half uninterrupted century of cinematographic race without bumps. Among other historical visits, Letizia has hidden Vice Prime Minister English, John Prescott, who landed in Palm the same day in which the WRATH announced the cease of the violence. Defender of the public transport with two Jaguars of his property, number two of Tony Blair arrived at the island without helmet, although the British conservatives - in all the senses of the word they consider the greater threat for ambient means of its country. Similar even physically to Alvarez Cascos or Corcuera, the Welsh Labour Party member guarantees the construction of the greater skyscraper from Europe in the shade of the Big Horseradish tree accuse to Him to have the city-planning sensitivity of tsunami, reason why this Socialist champagne will find in Majorca a dream place. Mister Bulldozer is the bulldog of its head, and physically stuck a demonstrator who dared to throw eggs to him. Welcome, but déjelo everything as it is.

Thanks for posting that photo. It is very sad to see.

For all of you monitoring Letizia's gestures (pointing at things), I'll mention that there's a photograph of Queen Elizabeth pointing at something at Braemar... and no one said a word about that being rude!

planetcher 09-06-2005 11:46 PM

I think it's because Letizia does it a lot. The thing is that people have mannerisms, some are way too obvious like Letizia's while others are not so, say maybe pouting or pursing the lips. I think she got it from her reporting days. Journalists especially field reporters tend to talk with their hands a lot. I just hope she doesn't do it too often :o .

Letizia more than many would probably understand the struggles those soldiers faced having visited warzones like Iraq, where Spain had troops. She probably would have been stationed with Spanish troops when reporting.

Doña Letizia celebrates her happier birthday

The face of the princess of Asturias reflects the immense happiness that feels before the proximity of the birth of its baby https://web.lavanguardia.es/img/es/t.gif
VANGUARD - 15/09/2005

The one of today is a specially joyful day for Doña Letizia since it in a while turns 33 years splendid of his life. The face of the princess of Asturias reflects the immense happiness that feels before the proximity of the birth of its baby. They only lack two months so that the first son is born of the Princes and the great incognito keeps awake: if who will happen to Don Felipe in the throne he is a king or a queen.

Doña Letizia is living a stage on fullness that began with its engagement with the prince of Asturias, took push with its marriage with Don Felipe in Madrid, the 22 of May of the 2004, and reached one of her landmarks when official became the news of the pregnancy of the princess. A pregnancy that, by the way, as soon as annoyances have caused him and that it has given a radiating aspect him.

The princess of Asturias also is happy because she enjoys a marriage by love with the person to whom she wants. The constant samples of affection between Don Felipe and Doña Letizia are faithful testimony of it. Also, the welcome that the Royal Family has given Doña Letizia could have been warmer and it has helped him in the difficult transit to happen to be a professional of the communication with a promising race to become a member of the royalty that perfectly plays its official role of princess of Asturias and its commitments.

Without going more far, after the summer parenthesis in Majorca and Asturias, as much Don Felipe as Doña Letizia has resumed their official agenda with renewed energies. For sample, the acts which have attended in last the two weeks, that go from their presence in sport events - the soccer match between Spain and Serbia -, until the deprived hearings diverse professional groupings, the reception of politicians with institutional positions and the trips, like the carried out one to the Prague to inaugurate the Cervantes Institute in the Czech capital.

I was surprised to see this article on El mundo.es: https://www.elmundo.es/especiales/gps...ama/index.html

It tries to be funny but at the end it turns to be without taste. What do you think?
